The growing economy created a culture of travel thus leading to a boom in the country’s hospitality industry which now contributes ~7% to the GDP of India. One of the key drivers of growth in the service sector, the hospitality sector is expected to touch $460 billion by 2028. India has also witnessed considerable growth in foreign visitors since the 2000s, thus enabling our country to become the seventh-largest tourism economy in the world.
