Jai Jai Poornima Sansthan Jai Hind! Sh. Shashikant Singhi Messages 1 Director General Events & A Long Life may not be good Enough, But a Good Life is long enough 3 I am glad to convey my message through this newsletter “Poornima Coruscate” on the occasion of Happening very special day of Ambedkar Jayanti 14th April, 2015, to all faculties, staff and students of Depart- ment of I Year Group ‘Á’. Plans And 5 Dear students, some persons are naturally gifted with the ability to express their thoughts Execution effectively and impress the listeners. But even if you do not have such ability, you can impress every- one. You can improve your language considerably by choosing your words carefully; keeping your Opus Corner 7 language clear and concise, will make other understand what you are trying to convey. Your language can be more impressive and expressive, if you illustrate it with examples from real-life experiences. Simplicity can also be Opus Corner 8 cultivated by constant practice, as it is your belief in yourself and your dedication to what you want to do. Your “simple Faculty living and high thinking” 9 attitude can do wonders. Nothing is simpler than greatness; indeed to be simple is to be great. Achievements If you are keen to achieve your goal you should give importance to three keywords – awareness, beliefs and com- mitment. These are the keywords which lead greater self-knowledge, a deeper understanding of others and a firmer grasp on how your words and behavior impact other people. Recognize the limiting beliefs that impede you achievement. Thereafter, you should overcome the obstacles to changing limiting beliefs. It may be a painstaking exercise, but you should try your best to complete it. A quotation for all my budding technocrats ….. Ever tried, Ever failed., No matter, Try again, Fail again, Fail better." Groucho Marx Till next newsletter all the best! Jai Jai Poornima Sansthan Jai Hind! Dr. Om Prakash Sharma (Director, PCE)

NEWS CORNER News plays very important roles in daily chores of our life. Only news keeps us in touch with the milieu in which we live. It gives us the insight to the dynamics that form the environment around us, be it in local or regional or national or international level. Keeping doors shut from news renders us deadwood and leads to isolation from the world around us and ultimately to atro- phy. So to avoid this the students display daily news on NEWS CORNER in English, on some special occasions like HINDI DIWAS , news displayed on the corner in our mother tongue HINDI. Everyday a motivational thought is also written on the corner to inspire the students. Co-ordinator :- Mr. Rakesh Kr. Yadav

ACHIEVING OUR GOALS IN TIME

Time management and setting up priorities is the key to success. Unless a focused approach is made, a calculative plan is charted out, no project can be successful , managing resources, man power planning is only possible if one sets targets and deadline. Postponing and procreating woks is the greatest obstacle in the path of success. All one needs is hard work, regularity and punctuality and consistency of efforts. Determination and perseverance are also the qualities that should be cultivated. In the competitive world of today, there is a cut throw competition and those who do not set targets clearly will lag behind. For success, futuristic planning has to be made. The next example is of the Olympian Mary Kom, who put on eight to be able to compete in a specific category. So we must determine not to depend on tomorrow. Now is the time and the best time to do work is, TODAY. Divya Khatnar Sec-E (C.S)

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR COMMUNICATION & WRITING SKILLS

The Learning Never Stops !

Gone are the days when professional learning was limited to college education or induction training. The pace of change in every sphere of life is skyrocketing, be it the economic, corporate, technology or the social arena. As a result employees have to actively adopt ‘lifelong learning’, a concept gaining prominence in workplace today. Em- ployees today always need to keep on acquiring new skills-be it on subject matter or technical skills. Lifelong learn- ing helps one understand and anticipate the dynamics of change around us and adapt accordingly. Technology ad- vancement and its wide usage in workplace today have made it mandatory for employees to let go of obsolete practices. Today every action and reaction has become instantaneous and the very concept of learning is undergoing change, Employees have to focus on a few key attributes such as:  Be tech- savvy  Proactively engage with social media and emerging trends  Regularly take up the learning opportunities offered by your respective company to update your skills  Be aware of the pitfalls of social media There are numerous ways to do a certain task and as people get more savvy , they find newer and faster ways to do the same things. Un- less organizations create a plate form where employees can share their knowledge with others in the team, learning takes up a very so- loed pathway. This would enormously slow down the company speed to handle change. As long as one looks at every event as an experi- ence to enjoy and learn from, one will continue to grow and do well.
