Chair’s announcements Coordinators were informed about: - The state-of-play of the negotiations subsequent to Paragraph 40 of the Interinstitutional Agreement on Better Law Making (IIA BLM) as regards international agreements; - Discussion at the meeting of the Conference of Delegation Chairs on 4 July, where AFET, DEVE and INTA committees also took part, about ways of improving cooperation between the committees and delegations; - Exchange of letters with Commissioner MOSCOVICI regarding the cooperation between DG ECFIN and INTA on sharing of documents linked to macro-financial assistance; - The drafting of an opinion to AFET accompanying resolution/INI report on Kazakhstan EPCA (2017/2035(INI) had been agreed by the Coordinators by written procedure beforehand. The opinion was attributed to the Standing rapporteur for Central Asia (Mr Borrelli) for 0 points. 10.2. Appointment of rapporteurs – decision on procedure REPORTS 10.2.1. Hearings Decision: - Endorsed the draft programme of the INTA/DEVE public hearing “EU Strategy on Aid For Trade; - Groups to send proposals for hearings for the first semester of 2018, to be discussed at the next Coordinators’ meeting. Committee Missions Decision: - Groups to send proposals for delegations and missions for the first semester of 2018, to be discussed at the next Coordinators’ meeting; - Secretariat to explore the possibility of using the INTA quota for the reimbursement of experts for inviting one expert to the WTO Public Forum (26-28 September) panel organised by the EP. 10.5. Requests by political groups Decision: - To send a letter to the Commission requesting to provide INTA with EU-Western Sahara trade statistics per sector and per year (following the CJEU judgment in case Council v Front Polisario of 21 December 2016). - When a slot for an own-initiative report becomes available, to draft a new own-initiative report on "Harnessing globalization: trade aspects" and to allocate it to a political group. - To ask the Policy Department to prepare an internal note on the screening of foreign investments.
