TERM 4 Term 4 started with a hiss and a roar quite literally last week with our ‘Wild Things’ masked parade entry! Thank you to everyone who assisted in making this such a success for our children. It is a wonderfully uplifting experience to be part of community events like the masked parade and I know the children will remember it for a long time to come. There are a number of other events coming up throughout the term so please do keep an eye on the newsletter and clearly mark things on your calendar ahead of time. I look forward to catching up with you again as the term unfolds. Enjoy the warmer weather and all that these longer days bring.

MASKED PARADE A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the masked parade such a success! We had an amazing turn out and the students represented our school so well, despite the crazy weather. Thank you to all of the parents who offered to help out and took time out of their day to paint, carve and assemble masks. Also well done to all of the students on creating such stunning masks. I was very impressed with the high standard of work and was so proud of our schools entry! - Miss Hubbard

TEACHER ONLY DAY - Tuesday 27 October (day after Labour Day) Our staff are joining others in the Stoke Cluster including Broadgreen Intermediate for a professional development day. The school is closed on this day and resumes after the longer weekend on Wednesday 28 October.

EARTHQUAKE DRILL Our earthquake drill went very “smoothly” last Thursday, unlike a real event would be! This gave us an opportunity to test our systems and supplies and re-teach our children the safest routines in case of an emergency. Please reinforce the drop, cover and hold message at home and ensure you have a safe place to meet as a family when the shaking stops.
