For a change of pace, a large group ventured forth across on the harbour ferry to Centre Island for a picnic in July, and a successful food fair filled in the calendar for August. The big upcoming event is undoubtedly the Encontro. Regrettably, I will not be able to attend the Encontro, but at our last Board of Executives meeting, we appointed Aurea Meyer to act on behalf of, and officially represent your Casa at all functions in Macau. The 2013 program and registration forms were sent to the membership, and at last count, more than fifty members have registered. Please see the “Encontro 2013” section for more details.
