PROGRAM Spend Summer A studying Chinese Language in Chengdu, China. This program is offered in collaboration with the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics’ (SWUFE) College of International Education. Advanced students may attend classes in one of SWUFE’s 28 doctoral and 43 master’s programs. SWUFE’s website is www.swufe.edu.cn LOCATION Chengdu is an old of China as well as a modern . In addition to scenic and historic sites within the city, places of interest nearby include the Buddha of and beautiful Emei Mountain. EXCURSIONS Program excursions include visits to the Breeding Research Base and Qingcheng Mountain. CHI 2230: Intermediate I (5 credits, prereq: CHI 1131) CHI 3410: Advanced Chinese I (3 credits) CHI 4930: History and Culture (3 credits)

2019 PRICING Summer A Undergraduate Program Fee: TBA A $375 nonrefundable deposit toward the total cost of the program is due at the time of application. The remaining fees are due no later than 45 days prior to departure. If you receive financial aid, you can defer payment until it disburses. Deferment decisions will be based on the amount of aid to be received. FINANCIAL AID WHAT’S INCLUDED Most financial aid that you would receive on campus during the summer can be applied toward the cost of this study abroad Tuition for 6-8 credits, lodging, SWUFE registration, international health program; however, all financial aid eligibility is determined by insurance, and emergency medical assistance Student Financial Affairs.
