[Digitare il testo] Press release PARMA KARTING AIMS FOR MORE EXCITING RACING IN 2013 LONATO SET TO HOST BOTH THE 2012 TROFEO ANDREA MARGUTTI AND TROFEO DELLE INDUSTRIE, THE TWO WORLD-‐RENOWNED EVENTS ARE SET TO TAKE PLACE RESPECTIVELY IN MARCH AND SEPTEMBER Parma I, 12.17.2012 -‐ The “South Garda” racetrack in Lonato, close to Lake Garda, will be hosting the Trofeo Andrea Margutti again. The race, scheduled between the 7th and 10th , of March will be celebrating its 24th edition and will be open to new categories: KFJ (formerly known as KF3) and KF (ex-‐ KF2) are set to join KZ2 and 60 Mini. Traditionally promoted and organized by Parma Karting , Asd the race is set to be once again a top-‐notch event in the international kart racing panorama and will be featuring some some of the best talent in business. In 2012, 245 drivers signed-‐up to join the “Margutti” roster. The Emilia-‐based association will be back in September (6th-‐8th) with the 42nd running of the Trofeo delle Industrie. The Lonato circuit has been confirmed for this season's round, providing a great environment for a long-‐standing event. Just a few months ago, the Trofeo brought on-‐track 150 drivers. Both events have the honour and the privilege of having made history in kart racing and they still stand as two of the most historical competition of the sport. The rolls of honour speak by themselves. The “Margutti” trophy was won by people like Giancarlo Fisichella, Robert Kubica, Toni Vilander and Edoardo Mortara, just to name a few. The Trofeo delle Industrie has an even longer history of world-‐class winners like Beppe Gabbiani, Corrado and Teo Fabi, Paolo Barilla, Ivan Capelli, Stefano Modena, Vincenzo Sospiri, Gabriele Tarquini, Alex Zanardi, Fabrizio Giovanardi, Max Papis, Jarno Trulli, Giancarlo Fisichella and, more recently, Ronnie Quintarelli, Giorgio Pantano and Lewis Hamilton. SOUTH GARDA KARTING - LONATO DEL GARDA (BRESCIA), ITALY THE HISTORY OF WINTER CUP: THE KARTING TALENTS SHOW SINCE 1996 The Winter Cup to be held next 19-22 February 2015 at South Garda Karting of Lonato del Garda (Brescia, Italy) celebrates its 20th edition, an important event that recalls the history of this race and of International Karting of the past 20 years. This edition has been enriched by the validity as first round of the International Trophy Bridgestone Supercup. The Winter Cup got birth back in 1996 on the stunning circuit of Lonato del Garda by the will of the building Surveyor Angelo Corberi, who designed and funded the racetrack built in 1988 that has housed the most important national and international events since, including CIK-FIA World and European Championships. The first appointment with the Winter Cup 1996, race that up to that point had the denomination of Italy Cup, was a consequence of the agreement with the most important Outfits of the time to run an international race following CIK regulations on this track, ahead of the FSA and FA World Championship scheduled in Lonato on the 15th of September of the same year. From the following year, the Winter Cup has been the traditional opening to the sporting season and this status of first important race of the year has soon made it a very sought after and important event for all constructors fielding their works teams and for the strongest teams that take this occasion as a first chance for a real technical and sporting comparison with rivals.

THE VENUE, FOR THE FIRST TIME, IS THE CIRCUIT OF LONATO AND THE NUMBER OF ENTRANTS HAS SO FAR REACHED THE RECORD NUMBER OF 245, WITH DRIVERS COMING FROM 33 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. THE RACE IS AIRED ON KO-KART TV Lonato (Brescia - Italy). The 23rd Andrea Margutti Trophy is all set and ready on the South Garda International Circuit. The Trophy is organized by Parma Karting and, for the first time, the venue of this milestone of karting is the Northern Italian circuit. The Trophy was born in 1990 in memory of the young Andrea Margutti, who died in 1989 during the time trials of another milestone of karting, the Trofeo delle Industrie. This year's edition presents itself with all the four categories sold out: 60 Mini, KF3, KF2 and KZ2. The number of drivers is astonishing: 245 from 33 different countries. Besides a good number of Italian drivers, most of the entrants (around 60%) are represented by foreign drivers coming from all around the world. This means that the value of the Trophy is universally recognized and that its appeal for the international karting has not ceased to grow.
