Truth, justice and reparation This summary was written with the difficult goal of condensing the in the Western Sahara report titled “The oasis of memory”, the complete version of which contains over 1000 pages in two volumes. The report includes an analysis of human rights violations in the Western Sahara since 1975 based on interviews and testimonies gathered from 261 victims. It The Oasis of Memory also analyzes the impact on individual people, families and women, the forms of resistance of the victims, and, finally, the demands for Carlos Martín Beristain truth, justice and reparation for victims as well as the responses from the state of Morocco. Eloísa González Hidalgo As Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Perez Esquivel points out, “In the research work that summarizes the ‘The oasis of memory’ report, Dr. Carlos M. Beristain tries to recover both the Historical Memory and the human rights situation in the Western Sahara, developing an approach that follows the methodology of the Truth Commissions in which he has participated, and combining the psychosocial approach that he contributed to the REMHI Commission in Guatemala, with the importance of gathering direct information and experiences from victims”. The value of memory is in the transformation of life. This report is dedicated to Sahrawi victims and survivors who have made it possible with their courage and generosity. The Oasis of Memory Carlos Martín Beristain MD, is a physician and Doctor of Social Psychology. He has worked for 24 years in Latin America and in the Basque Country with human rights organizations and victims of violence. -

Dossier pédagogique 1 Dossier pédagogique 2 Le dossier pédagogique JM LES TOURNÉES JM – UNE RESSOURCE ARTISTIQUE ET PÉDAGOGIQUE À DESTINATION DES PROFESSIONNELS DU SECTEUR Chaque saison, la Fédération des Jeunesses Musicales Wallonie-Bruxelles propose un programme d’une quarantaine de projets musicaux de Belgique et de l’étranger, mettant ainsi à la disposition des acteurs des terrains scolaire, extra-scolaire et culturel souhaitant élaborer une programmation jeune public au sein de leur institution, des ressources artistiques et pédagogiques de qualité, diversifiées, âprement sélectionnées et adaptées à leurs besoins. LES OBJECTIFS • Permettre la découverte d’un large éventail d’expressions musicales d’ici et d’ailleurs, anciennes ou contemporaines. • Sensibiliser le public le plus large (et particulièrement les enfants et les jeunes) à d’autres cultures, modes de vie, traditions, réalités sociales, etc. grâce à une rencontre vivante à dimension humaine avec les artistes. • Être un outil performant adapté à toute démarche culturelle, éducative, citoyenne, qu’elle soit portée par un enseignant, une équipe éducative, une structure culturelle, un mouvement associatif, etc. • Contribuer à l’épanouissement artistique et à la reconnaissance professionnelle de jeunes talents. • Proposer aux enfants et aux jeunes un regard actif sur le monde de la musique et les aider à développer leur sens critique. LA DÉMARCHE PÉDAGOGIQUE L’accompagnement pédagogique fait partie intégrante de la démarche artistique des Jeunesses Musicales. Ainsi, pour chaque tournée, nous mettons à la disposition des enseignants ou des encadrants des ressources pédagogiques en libre accès ainsi que des extraits sonores du projet. It is not a study of the Negro in the French colonies or of colonial conditions, for that is a different story. Occasion ally, however, reference to colonial happenings is brought in as necessary to set forth the background. The author has tried assiduously to restrict his attention to those of whose Negroid blood he could be certain, but whenever the distinction has been significant, he has considered as mulattoes all those having any mixture of Negro and white blood. -

Nouvelle 62 Village CNA au Fespaco Pendant la semaine du Fespaco à Ouagadougou, et à l’occasion de ses dix ans, le CNA s’est sédentarisé et s’est installé au « Village CNA ». Toutes les équipes étaient présentes, réunissant plus de cinquante personnes venues de France, du Burkina, du Mali, du Niger, du Bénin, mais aussi du Togo et du Cameroun : ambiance assurée ! Focus sur CNA Afrique Lors d’une conférence de presse au Village CNA, le CNA a présenté le projet CNA Afrique, soutenu par Africalia, par l'Union Européenne et aidé par le Conseil Général de Val de Marne dans le cadre de la mise en place du CNA Sénégal. Ce projet a pour objectif la structuration des cinémas ambulants en Afrique de l’Ouest, la création de nouvelles unités de projection au Sénégal et au Cameroun, intégration au réseau du Cinéma Itinérant du Togo et la mise en place d’un fonds de rémunération des ayants droit. Doté d’une structure de coordination, il vise à redéfinir la place des cinémas ambulants dans l’industrie cinématographique africaine tout en prenant en compte leur rôle dans le développement culturel et l’épanouissement des populations. Denis Salord et Denise Richert de l’Union Européenne, et Dorine Rurashitse et Mirko Popovitch d'Africalia Belgium étaient présents à la conférence de presse. Projection à Pitmoaga Une grande soirée de projection a été organisée avec Africalia, à travers son projet Cinétoile auquel les CNA Mali et Burkina, au village de Pitmoaga à une cinquantaine de kilomètres de Ouagadougou, avec les objectifs conjoints de se faire l’écho des activités aidées par Africalia, mais surtout d’amener encore et toujours le cinéma jusqu’aux populations. -
