MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING HELD AT MANSTON VILLAGE HALL ON TUESDAY 19th MAY 2015 STARTING AT 7PM

Present: Cllr Mrs L Stranger (Chairman), Cllr B Dawe-Lane, Cllr Mrs V Stokes, and Cllr T Craven.

In attendance:- P Knott (Clerk). District Cllrs Mrs J Westbrook and C Dowden. County Cllr A Cattaway and one member of the public

1. Approval of minutes for 2014 meeting-The minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on the 26th May 2014, were confirmed as a true record, and signed by the Chair. There were no matters arising from the minutes.

2. Chairman’s Report- Cllr Mrs Stranger presented the following report-

Four Parish Council meetings have been held during the past year. The expenditure budget for the Financial Year 2015-2016 was set at the November meeting at £1,745.00p a reduction of £270-00p on the previous year achieved by the Clerks Salary budget by £100-00p and removing the one off budget of £180-00p for the refurbishment of the telephone box at . No contingency figure has been included, for the Financial Year 2015-2016, as there are sufficient funds in the general reserves to cover any unforeseen expenditure.

Planning applications considered during the year included the erection of a single storey extension and installation of nine photo-voltaic panels at Church Cottage, Parsons Lane, Hartgrove. The erection of a 3.5 bay detached garage at Great House Farm, , erection of a two-storey extension at Wellbeck Cottage, Road, Margaret Marsh. The erection of an agricultural workers dwelling, at Field View Farm, Fishey Lane, East Orchard. The erection of an extension, and a replacement porch, at The Buhary, Bleax Close, East Orchard. The erection of front and rear extensions at Hillyfields Parsons Lane Hartgrove and a replacement dwelling with double garage at Swainscombe Cottage Church Lane Hartgrove.

Two applications for public footpath diversion at Swainscombe Farm Hartgrove and and Marsh Farm Margaret Marsh were also considered.

Grant Awards of £l00-00p each were made to the and Somerset Air Ambulance and the Citizens Advice Bureau and £50-00p to Naomi House.

Three Parish Wardens continue to carry out litter clearance in the three parishes. This scheme has now been in operation for a number of years, being one of the first to be implemented by a Parish Council in Dorset.

Finally I would like to thank the members of the Parish Council, the Parish Wardens, County Councilor Andrew Cattaway and the Parish Clerk Philip Knott for their support during the past year

3. County Cllr Report- County Cllr Andrew Cattaway gave an update on the situation with the Dinhas Hollow road closure on the C15 at Cann near , listing the four options under consideration.

4. District Cllrs Report-The newly elected District Cllrs for the Stours Ward had nothing to report.

5. Public Open Forum- The one member of the public present had no questions or comments.
