Briarcliff Manor is a community of approximately 8,000 residents, located in the Westchester County suburbs of New York City. Most of the community's residents are professionals and executives who demonstrate strong support for the public school system.

ACCREDITATION AND AFFILIATIONS Briarcliff High School is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and the Middle States Commission on Second• ary Schools. Briarcliff High School is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling and complies with the NACAC Statement of Principles of Good Practice.

STUDENTS The 2017-18 enrollment is 549 students at Briarcliff High School. There are 133 students in the Class of 2018. The ethnic breakdown of the Class of 2018 student body is as follows: 79% Caucasian; 10% Asian-American; 6% Hispanic, 4% African-American, 1 % multi racial.

Briarcliff High School is comprised of students from Briarcliff Manor, Pocantico Hills, and tuition students from area school districts.

ATHLETICS AND ACTIVITIES Briarcliff High School students participate in a broad range ofrecreational and interscholastic activities. Teams fielded are Boys' Football, Soccer, Basketball, Bowling, Baseball, Hockey, Swimming and Tennis; Girls' Field Hockey, Volleyball, Tennis, Basketball, Swimming, Bowling, Softball and Soccer; Co-Ed Cross Country, Winter Track, Golf, and Track and Field. More than two dozen clubs for students of various academic, athletic, cultural, and community service interests are available to all students.

The grade point average is weighted. AP, SUNY and SUPA courses carry a weight of 1.10. Honors courses carry a weight of 1.05. Briarcliff Science Research is weighted 1.10 (grades 11 and 12) and 1.05 (grade 10).

• The Class of 2017 was comprised of 170 students. Advanced Placement Examinations • There were 4 National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalists. In May 2017, 220 students sat for 495 exams in 26 subject areas. • An additional 6 students were Commended Scholars. • There was I National Hispanic Scholarship Nominee 90% of all test scores were equal to or greater than 3. • There were 2 National Merit College sponsored winners • 98.1 % of the class of 2017 attend college. • 100% of the class of 2017 graduated.

\ I GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS AND CREDITS To graduate from Briarcliff High School, each student is required to complete a minimum of 23 credits, to be distributed as follows: English - four credits Social Studies - four credits Mathematics - three credits Science - three credits Art or Music - one credit Health - one half credit Electives - three and a half credits Community Service - one credit* Physical Education - two credits World Language - one credit (Regents), three credits (Adv.)

*Each student is required to complete 8 hours of Community Service per year ( one quarter credit per year).
