CULTURAL PARTNERSHIP STRATEGY 2015 - 2019 FOREWORD I am delighted to present Richmond upon Thames’ Cultural Partnership Strategy 2015 – 2019. The strategy defines the Borough’s commitment to the creative arts and aims to ensure that Richmond continues to be known for providing a high quality cultural environment for both residents and visitors alike. Culture enriches the lives of everyone and makes a valuable contribution to the health and wellbeing of our community. Through our Cultural Partnership Strategy I believe we have the opportunity to extend the quality and impact of the arts sector. It has been a pleasure to see the Borough’s cultural community working together to develop and shape this strategy. It is exciting to see the commitments that have been made and I am thrilled by the possibilities that this will bring to us all in Richmond upon Thames over the next four years. Councillor Meena Bond Cabinet Member for Arts, Culture and Sport 2 CULTURAL PARTNERSHIP STRATEGY 2015 - 2019 INTRODUCTION This Cultural Partnership Strategy sets out the four-year strategy for culture in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames 2015- 2019 which has been developed in partnership between the cultural organisations in the Borough and the Council.
