Detail First CTPL Men’s Kookaburra Cup Grand Final 2018/19 v Blundstone Arena 24 February 2019 Umpires: Greg Beechey & Jerry Matibiri CTPL Club Championship Award Club Championships Ladder Position Club Points 1 Clarence 321 2 Kingborough 314 3 North Hobart 243 4 Lindisfarne 242 5 University 229 6 SHSB 191 7 New Town 178 8 Glenorchy 149 9 Brighton 96 10 Greater Northern 17 As has been the case the last three seasons, Clarence and Kingborough are fighting to claim the Club Championship. Kingborough had led for the early part of the season but following from the Christmas break, the Roos have edged ahead narrowly. The club championship reflects the overall position of the clubs within the CTPL, taking into account all CTPL grades, male and female. There is a tight tussle in the middle of the ladder also with North Hobart continuing to build and move into third position ahead of Lindisfarne and University. There are still plenty of points up for grabs with two-day cricket featuring heavily for the remainder of the season. Lord Taverners Spirit of Cricket Award The Spirit of Cricket ladder is as tight as ever with the averages of 2nd place through to 5th place separated by only 0.07 points. Competition new comers, Greater Northern, are in the box seat with Kingborough and University hot on their tails. Clubs are rated after each game on three aspects with the average rating across all games played by the club in all grades determining the final victor. To have 9 clubs with an average above 6 reflects that the competition is being played in the right spirit.
