Dear Academic Leaders,

As someone who cares deeply about the success of your students, I am reaching out to express my gratitude and offer my assistance to you during these unprecedented times. Today’s graduates are anxious about the future and are looking for a stable path to personal and professional success. As our youth look to leaders like you to help guide them on the right life path, I would like to work with you as a partner to help share about career fields in the Navy. There are more than 60 Navy career fields in leading-edge areas. There is something out there for everyone from nuclear engineering, IT, cryptology, medicine, public relations, law, or logistics to name a few. Enclosed you can see all career fields we offer and how they align within the 16 pathways identified in the National Career Clusters Framework. Along with a myriad of career options, the Navy offers numerous paths to earning a college degree. The educational and career opportunities are endless! Four-Year Fully Paid – o United States Naval Academy Appointment o Navy Reserve Training (NROTC) Scholarship Other—Navy college programs, post-graduate opportunities, and G.I. Bill benefits o These can be used by our Sailors or passed on to their children to pay for college. Additionally, service members earn and qualify for many lifetime financial benefits like healthcare, home loans, insurance, veterans’ benefits, Thrift Savings Plan, pensions, 12 weeks paid parental leave, 30 days annual leave, tax-free benefits, fitness center access, and military discounts at businesses nationwide. They can also earn enlistment bonuses up to $40,000, best-in-class training, accelerated promotion opportunities, and re-signing bonuses up to $100,000. Bottom line, serving in the U.S. Navy will prepare these young men and women for success in life, even if they choose not to make a career out of the Navy.

As a Puerto Rico native, I was very fortunate when my high school counselors helped me to visualize a new future. I care deeply about our nation’s youth, and would love to work with you to help make their futures brighter. I am happy to introduce you to Navy personnel in your area who can help you show students how they can pursue these incredible educational and lifetime benefits. Our online content helps paint a picture of Navy life as shared by naval personnel. All our video and podcast content is on Navy.com under “Explore the Navy,” and we have representatives available for phone calls at 1-800-USA-NAVY to learn more.
