He was instrumental in orchestrating remarkable initiatives and improvements across the installation, including the move of the Chaplains School to Newport; commissioning of a $50 Million Navy Gateway Inn & Suites facility; earning the 2019 SECNAV Energy Excellence Award; upgrades to privatized housing; realignment of security department; regional dispatch center cutover; furlough planning, force-directed safety standdowns; water-quality initiatives; and numerous hiring actions. His planning and oversight during the 22nd and 23rd International Seapower Symposiums, was personally recognized by the Chief of Naval Operations.
