The MITE Cultural Committee works towards creating a comprehensive ecosystem that would identify the variety of artistic, literary, and other creative talents by screening students through the different forums of the cultural club-Euphoria. The institution augments these talents through professional training and creates a platform for the students to exhibit their creative streaks through intra and inter-collegiate events.

music, dance, fun games, the crowning of Mr. & Ms. Fresher, followed by an evening of grand celebration at the MITE Greens.

Sentia Sentia is the flagship state-level techno-

cultural and management fest that the institute organizes and has carved a niche for itself as one of the best fest in

Sentia, the two-day inter- collegiate fest, witnesses 2000+ students from over 50+ colleges from the state participate in 60+ events at ten parallel venues on the campus for prizes worth a total of INR. 10 lakhs. Battle of bands and Award Night are the most sought out segments of the fest. Sentia, over the last few years, had internationally acclaimed artists like Mika Singh, Shreya Ghosal, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chouhan perform live at the MITE greens on Award Night of the fest, where the Champions walk away with a cash prize on INR. 25000.

Alumni day & Alumni day & Annual day are

Annual day organized by the Cultural Committee along with the state-level fest Sentia. The two-day event is an excellent celebration with Alumni performing at the college, inter-department variety programs, music, dance, and professional DJ playing live at MITE. The Annual day is also an event to recognize and honor the best performers

in academics, sports, and cultural events.

Andhas 19 MITE in unison celebrates , which begins with a grand procession, 5th October thiruvathira (traditional dance) on the 2019 campus, which is decked with Pookalam (floral carpet) and is also a day when the campus savors traditional food along with the drum beats

of Chendamela.

Ayudha Pooja Ayudha means 'Worship of tools or instruments ' and is a very 5th October important part of the festival. 2019 MITE celebrated Ayudha Pooja traditionally by offering puja and worshipping the instruments, books, tools and vehicles.

Independence Independence day was conducted by the

He addressed the 15th August gathering about the supreme sacrifice 2019 the great martyrs made for the sake of freedom and asked the gathering to follow the ideals of great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru and, Subhash Chandra Bose. Kannada Every year, the committee hosts

Rajyotshava Rajyotsava, a day to commemorate the art forms of Karnataka like Dollu 1st November Kunitha, , honor the rich 2019 literature, and reinstate the need for imbibing in students the love for culture and traditions.

Teachers Day The Committee organizes Teachers’ day

to commemorate the birthday of Dr. 5th September Radhakrishnan. Faculty and staff 2019 assemble at the main entrance and pay tribute to the photograph of Dr. Radhakrishnan by offering flowers on that day. The program was followed by a celebration of the day.

Engineers Day Birthday of Sir M Visvesvaraya is being celebrated as Engineers’ day throughout the Nation on 15th September every year. The committee organizes a 15.09.2019 formal program wherein Faculty and students assemble at the foyer to pay their respects to the great soul Sir M. Visvesvaraya . Principal Dr. G L Easwara Prasad addressed the gathering on the occasion and stressed the role played by Sir Visvesvaraya in Nation building. He further explained the value system practiced by Sir Visvesvaraya which has to be emulated by all.

celebrations organized by the committee on 26.01.2020. The national flag was 26.01.2020 hoisted by our Principal Dr. G.L. Easwara Prasad at the Campus. Speak for India is an initiative by Federal Bank in association with The Hindustan Times Group to encourage young, dynamic and enthusiastic minds to raise their voice on pertinent issues and play the role of change maker in society. Ms. Anusha Bejai, from the Speakers league was selected from Dakshina Kannada for the Speak for India Karnataka Edition organized by the Federal Bank in association with The Times of India and Vijaya Karnataka.

5. Republic Day Parade Camp:

Every year the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Directorate of NSS brings a Mini India by organizing a month long Republic Day Parade Camp for NSS volunteers from 1st to 31st January at New Delhi and NSS volunteers participate in Republic Day Parade on 26th January at Raj Path. The Republic Day Parade Camp 2020 was organised at International Youth Hostel, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi from 1st to 31st January, 2020 in which 196 NSS volunteers (98 Male and 98 Female) representing ‘29’ States and 5 ‘UTs’ from ‘137’ Universities and ‘196’ Colleges and Technical Institutions participated. 15 NSS Programme Officers (8 Male and 7 Female) i.e. one from each Regional Directorate were also part of the organisation in the capacity of Team Leaders of their respective Regional Directorates. Mr. Madhukiran from the Aeronautical Engineering represented Karnataka in the Republic day parade camp.

TRAINING ACTIVITIES OF THE CULTURAL CLUB- EUPHORIA

The Cultural Club Euphoria strategically plans the activities for each forum to cater to the needs of the young talents. Members of each forum of the club meet every Saturday.

Razzle- Dance Forum

The members are trained in Urban Hip-hop and contemporary dance forms by Choreographer Mr. Arpith , Founder of Red Hawks dance school, Karkala.

Chords- Music Forum

The forum hosts jam sessions, sessions on musical instruments like guitar, keyboard, vocal training. The forum also has the college band which competes at inter- collegiate events.

Design Forum

The members are exclusively trained in designing software Photoshop. Sessions on video making are also conducted. The members of the forum design various posters for events held at MITE.
