Perutnina Ptuj 1905–2015. Perutnina Ptuj 1905–2015 and beyond. Here, we are launching the future. History is our teacher, and the future is our challenge. There has also repeatedly been proven the fact that it is necessary to respect the past road, in Perutnina Ptuj each time a new challenge for the future. The hundred-and-ten-year path we have walked in different time periods, in different political and economic arrangements, including the wars. Even three wars in the narrow area in which we co-create our economic activity in that part of the food industry, which has also in our time become the most popular and the most enticing nutritional foundation. Due to changing lifestyles of consumers, because of personal and social habits, and mainly because of the food that has become our strategy. Our attitude toward the future is expressed at this turning point facing backwards, just to tell and show what kind of energy and potential we have for the future. We do not rely on the inertia of the large systems operation. We manage Perutnina Ptuj with the responsibility towards future generations. We have resisted storms of every year, every decade and good century time. That is why the future is on the Perutnina side. The technology has already been our everyday and managed in such a way that the majority of natural properties are maintained in the final food; in its taste. At the same time, we are committed to fundamental objectives of corporate governance, growth, development and creation of competitive advantages. On arrival we drive through beautiful scenes as we travel to Ptuj in Slovenia’s eastern province of Styria and the Grand Hotel Primus (4-star). Enjoy a welcome drink with time to relax before dinner this evening. Day 2 Ptuj Ptuj is the oldest documented settlement in Slovenia, and equals the country’s capital for historical importance. This morning we take an included sightseeing tour of its beautiful historical core; a compact medieval quarter of monasteries, towers and the 5m-tall Orpheus Monument, a Roman tombstone which became the centre of public punishment in the Middle Ages. Our tour includes Castle Hill, where a collection of red-roofed houses were assembled in the 14th-18th centuries on the remains of a Roman temple, to create the majestic Ptuj Castle. As you enter the courtyard you will see the red marble tombstone of Frederick IX, the last lord of Ptuj. The afternoon is at leisure; or you may choose an optional excursion to explore the surrounding wine region, taking in the idyllic countryside and one of the local cellars. Day 3 Ptuj Spend a day exploring Ptuj’s rich heritage at leisure, or choose an optional excursion to Maribor, Slovenia’s second largest city. This charming medieval city is worthy of exploration, with medieval towers, the remains of a city wall and, in the Lent district, the world’s oldest grapevine.
