Freestyle Ontario is pleased to invite all freestyle skiers to attend the Timber Tour at Camp Fortune January 23, 24, & 25, 2020. The following invitation includes

1. The event is sanctioned by Freestyle Canada and organized by Freestyle Ontario in partnership with Fortune Freestyle, and Camp Fortune 2. All athletes must have a Freestyle Canada certified Coach present with sufficient qualifications for their intended manoeuvres. 5. Qualification is required for all inverted manoeuvres 6. FREESTYLE CANADA LICENCE: Athletes are required to have a Provincial Athlete License to participate in the event. This license provides all involved parties with liability insurance through the Freestyle Canada.

REGISTER FOR YOUR PROVINCIAL ATHLETE LICENSE.

LIABILITY AND ACCIDENT INSURANCE – All athletes, officials and other members of the regions who attend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk. Every competitor is required to have his/her own medical and life insurance that is adequate and covers the manoeuvres being performed in training and competition and is also available through Freestyle Canada when you register for your membership. The Organizing Committee, Freestyle Ontario, Camp Fortune, Fortune Freestyle and the Canadian Snowsports Association shall not be responsible for accidents, damaged or lost equipment and belongings and/or second or third-party claims during the staging of the event. All participants are urged to protect and safeguard their personal belongings at all times. ENTRY DEADLINE, DETAILS, & REFUNDS

ENTRIES – Must be received no later than Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 7 pm EST. Athletes are encouraged to register for both events. Entry Fees (per participant) are $110.00/event - $220.00 for 2 events. Participants must register on-line and make payment at the time of registration.

AGE CATEGORIES: Age categories are determined based on the competitors age as of January 1, 2020.

U10 – 8-9 U12 – 10-11 U14 – 12-13 U16 – 14-15 U18 – 16-17 U20 – 18-19

INDIVIDUAL EVENT REGISTRATIONS: For athletes who have registered for each Timber Tour individually, once an athlete is confirmed on a start list, refunds will not be issued. In the case of an injury, the coach or parent must notify the registration desk, or email [email protected] to inform that an athlete is injured and unable to ski before competition day. In this case athletes are entitled to partial refunds, $25 per event.

Requests for refunds for other extraordinary circumstances shall be considered only at the discretion of the Organizing Committee to a maximum of $25 per event. If an event is cancelled due to weather or exceptional circumstances each athlete registered for that event will be entitled to partial refund of $25.00 per event.

SERIES EVENT REGISTRATION: For athletes who have registered for the Timber Tour as a Series the standard refund policy applies for their first event following a refund request. For all subsequent withdrawals if a doctor’s note is provided stating they are unable to compete for the remainder of their registered events a full refund will be provided for all remaining events.

COMPETITION/REGISTRATION OFFICE – The registration office will be upstairs in the Mezzanine in the main lodge. All Participants must check in and register at the main desk to confirm participation in the event and to pick up competition bibs. If you already have a bib from a previous event you still must check-in for this event and registration to ensure you are entered into the scoring system WITH YOUR BIB. You only need to check in once per competition weekend.

LIFT TICKETS – Lift tickets must be purchased at the Registration Office on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. You will need to bring CASH ONLY to purchase the discounted lift tickets. Athlete Tickets will be available for $23.00/day.

Each competitor is responsible for the purchase of their own lift ticket for each day of the event. ** Coach tickets are free, to a maximum of 2 per team.

BIBS – Bibs will be free for all athletes again this year, thank you to our partner Druxy’s Famous Deli. If a bib is lost or forgotten there will be a $20.00 replacement fee. If athletes forget a bib and can bring the bib the next day it will be a $20.00 deposit.

Athletes keep bibs and are asked to bring them to EVERY Timber Tour event throughout the season. The bibs are not used at Canada Cup Events. It is important that your bib number matches your event registration for judging and scoring, if you need to replace your bib please ensure the on-site registration staff updates your entry information. Bibs must be worn properly for all on-site training and for the competitions. Athletes keep their bibs at the end of the competition season. COMPETITION FORMAT

SLOPESTYLE - Adjusted Heat Format (based on age category), best of two runs, no finals. The number of heats is dependent on the number of athletes registered for the competition. All participants can train in the morning training of the competition day. Heats will have a maximum of 25 athletes.
