Associated with Montreal's largest traveling ski school we are able to extend our discounted group rates to public and private schools. Booking your ski trip through our agency will not cost you more and in almost all cases will save your group money. We can help you organize single day trips and overnight excursions. We have selected several condominium complexes that provide outstanding accommodations for groups. Enclosed you will find details on each particular lodging complex. Sincerely, Doug Roy Gord Roy Director Director 5 OVERNIGHT DESTINATIONS When choosing a destination for your multi-day ski trip there are several important factors to consider. Each destination has different qualities. What might be good for a group of 13 year old non- skiers/snowboarders would probably not be acceptable to a group 16 year old experienced skiers/snowboarders. When planning your trip look at the following factors: 1. Age of students. 2. Overall skiing ability of the group. 3. Type of meals necessary (i.e. meal plans). 4. Need for extra activities. 5. Trip dates. The age of the students will determine the type of accommodation that you will require and the amount of supervisors needed to adequately chaperone the group. With younger students an easily contained small ski area is usually the best option. Older students can be placed in condominium style accommodations. The overall skiing/snowboarding ability of the group will affect your destination. If you have primarily “beginners” you do not need to go to one of the more expensive high profile destinations. Group meals for younger students can be arranged at many of the destinations. For older students, staying in condominiums allows them the freedom to bring their own food which keeps the cost of the trip down. Most groups like to be able to keep the students busy

Looking at Montreal's snow-free streets, you wouldn't think there still is skiing and snowboarding in the mountains around the city. But there is good news for those who want to finish the season in style. A wide choice of areas are currently in full or almost full operation and plan to stay open a few more weeks. Some hills missed the recent rains. Others have powerful snow-making equipment that allows them to make snow when the night air is cold. Mont Tremblant and Le Massif in Charlevoix are scheduled to close April 11. At Mont Sutton, all trails are open and the mountain expects to operate until the first or second week of April.

DE LA CONNAISSANCE À LA CONSERVATION La publication de cette 12e édition du Bulletin de conservation coïncide avec le dépôt du Plan stratégique 2012-2017 de la Société des établissements de plein air du Québec. Dans ce plan, la conservation du patrimoine naturel et culturel vient en tête de liste des enjeux et, parmi les axes d’intervention prioritaire, on retrouve le maintien de l’intégrité écologique des parcs nationaux et la connaissance du territoire. Pour arriver à bien poursuivre ces objectifs, la Société s’est d’abord dotée d’une nouvelle Stratégie de conservation du réseau des parcs nationaux. Celle-ci établit les balises de l’ensemble de nos actions en conservation. Par ailleurs, pour faire le pont entre les orientations stratégiques et les préoccupations concrètes de conservation, chaque parc national est maintenant doté d’un nouveau plan de conservation dans lequel ont été identifiées et priorisées les actions pour les prochaines années. Il se présente sous forme de tableau de bord et de « fiches projet » qui consignent toute l’information liée aux actions planifiées et réalisées. Au cours des prochaines années, la mise en œuvre de ces plans de conservation sera au cœur du travail des responsables du Service de la conservation et de l’éducation des parcs. Bien prioriser les préoccupations et les actions est primordial puisque, dans leurs prises de décision et les actions qui en découlent, les gestionnaires des parcs nationaux doivent viser le juste équilibre entre la pro- tection des territoires dont ils ont la responsabilité et leur mise en valeur.

Le domaine Mackenzie-King a reçu 51 549 visiteurs, 51 549 soit 6 771 de plus que l’an dernier. La Commission de la capitale nationale (CCN) a enregistré 376 338 interactions sur les médias sociaux 376 388 sur toutes les plateformes, une hausse de 105 % par rapport au dernier exercice. Le portefeuille locatif de la CCN a généré des recettes 18,0 M$ de 18,0 M$. Vue intérieure de la Laiterie de Rideau Hall récemment rénovée. Construite en 1895, la Laiterie servait à l’origine d’endroit où conserver et refroidir le lait.
