Silversea’s experts designed the inaugural collection with inspiration from Silversea guests; a survey of North American travellers, 87 per cent of whom are from the United States, explored guests’ “dream destinations” and most sought-after cultural experiences. The pre- and post-cruise Couture Collection includes exclusive amenities ranging from private helicopter service in Mongolia to vintage rail in India and Gulfstream jets in and out of Antarctica. Prices average USD $34,000 per guest for each five- to eleven-day adventure, with the 11-day South Pole itinerary leading the collection starting at USD $78,000 per guest. The Couture Collection programs are limited to small groups and include most meals, beverages and exclusive culinary events. Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio di Balsorano di Clunières, Executive Chairman, Silversea Cruises, was born in Rome, the son of the renowned entrepreneur and lawmaker Antonio Lefebvre de Clunieres di Balsorano. Lefebvre started his career working in family companies but moved swiftly to build his own companies. In 2001, he took control of Silversea Cruises, a family company and global leader in luxury cruising and became Executive Chairman. He transformed Silversea from a cruise line with three vessels to the market leader with 9 ships cruising to over 900 destinations worldwide. Further, he expanded the product range of the company by adding the Expedition fleet, quickly becoming a leader in luxury expedition cruising as well. And today is adding the Couture Collection to expand our destination reach even further. Mr. Lefebvre is a recognized leader of the global cruise Industry and has held key roles in CLIA (Cruise Line International Organisation), WTTC (World Tourism and Travel Council) and is a Member of WEF (World Economic Forum) and Aspen Institute. He is Chairman of the Monegasque Chamber of Shipping and was nominated Chevalier de L’Ordre de Saint Charles and Grimaldi by SAS Prince Albert. Conrad Combrink: Vice President Strategic Development Expedition and Experiences is a native from Cape Town, South Africa Within months of Silversea’s 2007 purchase of their first expedition ship, Conrad Combrink was given the responsibility for creating and coordinating many of the important aspects of the newly created Silversea Expeditions cruise program.

    BACKGROUNDER Silversea is a luxury cruise company reflec3ng genera3ons of mari3me and travel experience. In the early 1990s, the Lefebvre family of Rome, former owners of Sitmar Cruises, conceived and organised a unique cruise company pledging to build and operate the highest quality ships in the ultra-luxury segment. The name "Silversea" was chosen because it connotes quality and luxury as well as capturing the romance and special sensa3ons of the sea. Silversea launched its first ship, Silver Cloud, in 1994, followed by Silver Wind in 1995, Silver Shadow in 2000, and Silver Whisper in 2001. The fleet was purpose-built for the ultra-luxury market, establishing a new class of smaller, in3mate vessels that could slip into more exo3c ports off the beaten path. These elite vessels were specifically designed for fewer guests, with more space and the highest levels of personalised service, delivered by mainly Italian and other European officers overseeing an interna3onal staff. In December 2009 Silversea took delivery of its next genera3on of ultra-luxury vessel, Silver Spirit. At 36,000 grosse tonnes (gr)t, and accommoda3ng just 540 guests, this in3mate ship has spacious suites— with 95% featuring a private veranda—and one of the highest space-to-guest ra3os at sea today.     SILVERSEA CRUISES ORDERS SILVER DAWN FROM FINCANTIERI She will be the third ship of the Silver Muse class Monaco/Trieste, May 14, 2018 – Silversea Cruises has awarded Fincantieri with an order for another ultra- luxury cruise ship, with delivery scheduled for Q4 2021. The contract is valued at over €320 million. Named Silver Dawn, the new vessel will be a sistership of Silversea’s flagship, Silver Muse, which was launched from the Fincantieri shipyard of Sestri Ponente (Genoa) in April 2017 and was welcomed with great acclaim by guests. Silversea has therefore committed to constructing a new ship that will share Silver Muse’s ultra-luxury qualities. The order of Silver Dawn comes just months after the cruise line signed a contract with Fincantieri for the construction of Silver Moon, another sistership to Silver Muse, which is due to be delivered in 2020.
