SILVA has recently added two new athletes to their team of ambassadors, the top runners Ida Nilsson and Mimmi Kotka, both from Sweden. Il est temps pour Guillermo Fayed de ranger ses skis après une très belle et longue carrière jalonnée de 4 podiums en coupe du monde et cette fabuleuse 3ème place au classement général de la coupe du monde de descente en 2015. Merci Guillermo pour toutes les émotions procurées, pour ce que tu représentes, pour tous ces jeunes à qui tu as su faire passer ta passion du ski et que tu continueras à suivre sans aucun doute. Bonne glisse pour la suite, bravo. Le Marathon du Mont-Blanc passe cette année 3 caps en rentrant dans la prestigieuse Gloden Trail Series by Salomon, en dépassant les 10 000 participants qui seront chouchoutés par plus de 500 bénévoles que je remercie du fond du cœur pour leur implication. 2018 sera également une année anniversaire pour le 23 km du Mont-Blanc qui fête sa 40ème édition ! Parlons de légende, Pulsations vous présentera un des pion- niers de la course en montagne, Christian Roussel dit « Pinel » que j’ai eu la chance de voir évoluer en tant que spectateur puis, loin derrière lui lors de mes premières foulées de Vallorcine… L’été appel d’autres grands événements pour le club des sports, la coupe du monde d’escalade va faire étape une fois de plus à Chamonix avec le retour des épreuves de vitesse.

    7 Valleys Run 100/64/34k 7th September 2019, Krynica-Zdroj, Poland RACE INFO Registration is opened RACE INFO 7 Valleys Run 100k is an ultramarathon race held in south-eastern part of Poland, in Beskid Sadecki region (Lesser Poland Voivodeship, capital Cracow). It is the main event of Running Festival – 3-day long multirace event with 15k+ participants, held since 2010 in Krynica-Zdroj. 10th edition of the Festival will take place on 6-8th September 2019. 7 Valleys Run is one of the oldest and most prestigious ultra races in Poland. Race hosted 3 inaugural editions of Polish Ultrarunning Champion- ships (2014-2016) and is a Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB) qualifier. Race history started in 2010 with 63 participants. In 2018 more than 700 participants entered the competition, over 470 became finisher. Participation record - 782 runners (2016). RACE COURSE Date and location: 7th September 2019, 3:00 o’clock (3 a.m.) Krynica’s-Zdrój Promenade (GPS-coordinates: 49° 25’ 17.457” N 20° 57’ 33.915” E) Course: 100k, elevation 3970m D+/ 3980m D-. Course has been evaluated by the International Trail Running Association (ITRA Mountain Level – 5). Course trajectory: Krynica-Zdrój, Rytro, Piwniczna- Zdrój, Szczawnik, Krynica-Zdrój. Course takes its begin- ning and an end on Krynica’s Promenade and leads run- ners through the most beautifull part of Beskid Sadecki region. En effet, ces compétitions ont réussi à avoir leur place dans le calendrier des courses il n’y a qu’une dizaine d’années. Les distances ont de plus en plus augmenté petit-à-petit, et aujourd’hui, voilà bien quelques centaines de courses déjà ayant le statut d’ultra-trail, soit au minimum environ 80 kilomètres de compétition, alors qu’il y a 40 ans, courir un marathon paraissait inhumain ! Mais comment s’entraînent-ils ? Doivent-ils dévouer tout leur temps et leur plaisir pour pouvoir parvenir à en accomplir ? Pas vraiment. Certes, il faut de l’entrainement, mais l’investissement effectué n’est pas proportionnel à la distance objective. Tout cela sera démontré et prouvé à travers un unique questionnaire rempli par 20 ultra-traileurs amateurs ainsi que 15 élites. Vous découvrirez que l’investissement et la préparation ne sont guère supérieurs à un autre type de course tel le marathon par exemple, qui lui compte 42.195 kilomètres de distance sur la route.
