Keep Britain Tidy Feb 28 to Alton, Bagnall, , Blore, , Brown, , , Cheadle, Ch eckley, , , Kingsley, , Draycott, me, Farley, , Fo rsbrook, Grindon, Heathylee, , Horton, Ilam,

Dear Sir / Madam

Last year 250,000 people got involved in local clean ups to support ‘Clean for the Queen’. This year Keep Britain Tidy wants to inspire 500,000 people to get outdoors, get active and help clear up their neighbourhoods with The Great British Spring Clean set to become an annual event.

The Great British Spring Clean launches this weekend 3 – 5 March 2017.

We’re calling on individuals, community groups, charities, sports clubs and businesses to sign up and take part. You’ll join an ever growing group of people who have had enough of other people’s litter, are willing to donate their time to help clear it up and want to see an end to littering.

We already have 3 events booked for March and are looking to encourage activity throughout the year so if you can’t join in this this weekend, why not plan something for later in the year?

We can lend you litter sticks (on a first come first served basis) and arrange collection of the bagged waste after your event.

Visit http://www.greatbritishspringclean.org.uk/home/2684#home to join an event near you or [email protected] for advice setting up your own event.

Yours faithfully,

Operational Services High Peak Borough Council and Moorlands District Council www.staffsmoorlands.gov.uk www.highpeak.gov.uk
