SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS FOR SUPERCARS

CHAPTER 1 - STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

1.1 EVENT TITLE, DATE & VENUE 1.1.1 The Event will be known as the “ 500” (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”) which will also comprise races 1 and 2 of the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship (“the VCS”), and be held at Adelaide Parklands Circuit, Adelaide, on 1st – 4th March 2018.

1.2 ORGANISATION & STATUS 1.2.1 The Event will be held under the FIA International Sporting Code including Appendices, the Supercars Operations Manual (“the Rules”), and any applicable National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS) which are not in conflict with the Rules, the Supplementary Regulations, any Further Supplementary Regulations or instructions and any Bulletins issued. 1.2.2 Event Status: Restricted International

CHAPTER 2 - ADMINISTRATION

2.1 ENTRIES 2.1.1 Competitors must have completed the 2018 Supercars Entry Registration Form. 2.1.2 Administration checking will commence at 0800 on Wednesday 28th February 2018. 2.1.3 Any Competitor that needs to change or add any details contained in their 2018 Entry Registration Form must do so at the Supercars Operations Transporter prior to 1630 on Thursday 1st March 2018. 2.1.4 No change of Drivers will be accepted later than 1630 (ACDT) on Thursday 1st March 2018 unless exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Stewards, warrant a change after that time.

2.2 ACCREDITATION CARDS (PASSES) & TEAM PARKING 2.2.1 The Series Accreditation Cards will be recognised by the Organisers. 2.2.2 Accreditation will be required from Wednesday 28th February 2018. 2.2.3 Each entry will be allocated 3 x passes for Car Park 2, access to which is via Gate 2 at the corner of Angas Street and East Terrace.

2.2.4 Each Team caterer will be allocated 1 x transit pass and will be required to exit the paddock prior to 0800 each morning.

CHAPTER 3 - TECHNICAL

3.1 SCRUTINEERING 3.1.1 Scrutineering will commence at 0730 on Thursday 1st March 2018.

3.2 MINIMUM WEIGHT 3.2.1 In accordance with the requirements of Rule C4.1.1, all Drivers will be required for weighing in the scales garage at 0830 on Friday 2nd March 2018.

3.3 REAR VISION MIRRORS 3.3.1 Delete Rule C6.5.2 and replace with the following: C6.5.2 A Car must be fitted with both a left and right hand side external rear vision mirror. If the left hand side external rear vision mirror is removed, the opening must be covered. The use of “race tape” to cover the opening is permitted.

CHAPTER 4 - SPORTING

4.1 DRIVER CONDITIONS POLICY 4.1.1 In accordance with Rule D3.4.4, the nearest Town or City to the Circuit, as listed by the Bureau of Meteorology is Adelaide: http://www.bom.gov.au./sa/forecasts/adelaide.shtml

4.2 BRIEFINGS 4.2.1 A briefing for all Competitor’s Authorised Representatives will be held at 1630 on Thursday 1st March 2018 in the Conference Room located on level 2, northern end of the Pit Garage Complex. 4.2.2 A Refuelling Safety briefing will be held immediately following the Competitor’s Authorised Representatives briefing in the Conference Room located on level 2, northern end of the Pit Garage Complex. Attendance of the following Team members from each Car is compulsory: 4.2.2.1 The refuelling hose operator 4.2.2.2 The fire extinguisher operator 4.2.2.3 The deadman handle operator 4.2.2.4 The Authorised Representative 4.2.3 A briefing for all Competitors and Drivers will be held at 1445 on Friday 2nd March 2018 in the Conference Room located on level 2, northern end of the Pit Garage Complex.

4.3 TYRE FITTING, ALLOCATION AND USAGE 4.3.1 Control Tyre fitting will commence from 0800 on Wednesday 1st March 2018 in the Dunlop facility located in the Supercars paddock.

4.3.2 In accordance with the requirements of Rule D17.7.2, each Team must present these tyres for marking at the Dunlop facility following Practice 2 on Friday 2nd March 2018. 4.3.3 For this Event delete Rule D17.7.5 and replace with the following; D17.7.5 At each Sprint Event in Australia, a Team must return one (1) set of four (4) Event allocated Control Tyres to Dunlop after the completion of Friday practice and prior to the first Saturday Session at each Event Qualifying - Race 1 on Friday.

CHAPTER 5 - OPERATIONS

5.1 ACCESS TO PADDOCK 5.1.1 The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of Supercars. 5.1.2 Specific conditions and details of transporter movements into the Supercars paddock will be distributed directly by the Supercars Transport and Logistics Coordinator. These conditions and timeframes including any predetermined order must be adhered to. 5.1.3 Transporters are permitted to enter the Supercars paddock commencing at 0800 on Wednesday 28th February 2018. 5.1.4 Transporters may arrive at the Circuit from 1300 Tuesday 27th February 2018. Transporters are only permitted to park on the Pit straight, however they must not park on any grid markings. 5.1.5 Other than Team caterers who have the required Transit Car Pass, Passenger vehicles are not permitted to enter the Supercars paddock from 0800 on Wednesday 28th February 2018.

5.2 RACE TRACK WALK 5.2.1 Teams are permitted to undertake their Race Track walk at any time on Wednesday 28th February 2018. 5.2.2 The Race Track will still be a public road at this time and as such, Teams are advised to take their own precautions.

5.3 STORAGE 5.3.1 Fuel drums are not permitted to be stored directly next to each other. 5.3.2 It is not permitted to store anything under the stairs that lead up to the corporate facilities above the Pit Lane.

5.4 TRANSPORTER DEPARTURE AFTER THE EVENT 5.4.1 Unless otherwise advised by Supercars, no Team transporter will be permitted to move from its allocated position or leave the Supercars paddock prior to 1900 hours on Sunday 4th March 2018.

CHAPTER 6 - MARKETING

6.1 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE 6.1.1 Teams must adhere to the activities outlined in the promotional schedule and/or any subsequent updates as provided by Supercars.

6.2 GRID WALK 6.2.1 Where permitted, movement of non-Team members on and off the grid must only be via the point/s as described in the Competitor’s Authorised Representative Briefing. 6.2.2 Promotional staff, Drivers and those listed on the D23 personnel list are the only people permitted on the grid in addition to those that are wearing a grid sticker.

CHAPTER 7 - SPECIFIC CIRCUIT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

7.1 EVENT OPERATING HOURS 7.1.1 The Event operating hours for the purpose of Rule E2 are as follows: 7.1.1.1 Thursday 1st March 0805 – 1840 7.1.1.2 Friday 2nd March 0830 – 1740 7.1.1.3 Saturday 3rd March 0800 – After race 1 7.1.1.4 Sunday 4th March 0845 – After race 2

7.2 MEDICAL SERVICES 7.2.1 The Medical Centre is located on Wakefield Road and will be operational during the following times: 7.2.1.1 Wednesday 28th February 0900 - 1500 7.2.1.2 Thursday 1st March 0730 - 1915 7.2.1.3 Friday 2nd March 0730 - 1815 7.2.1.4 Saturday 3rd March 0730 - 1750 7.2.1.5 Sunday 4th March 0730 - 1750 7.2.2 Any medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours outlined in 7.2.1, please contact 000. The address to give to Emergency Services is: “Your Specific Location” Eg: Garage 1, Adelaide Parklands Circuit – entry via Gate 4, Wakefield Street/Hutt Street, Adelaide. Alternatively, attend casualty at: Royal Adelaide Hospital – West Terrace/North Terrace intersection.

7.5 CARE FOR PARKLANDS 7.5.1 Competitors must be aware that the Adelaide Parklands are a valuable asset to the host community, so all Teams are required to treat the areas available within the Parklands with respect and discretion to minimise any adverse environmental impact.

7.6 HEALTH AND SAFETY 7.6.1 In line with the South Australian Health and Safety Act, the Supercars Paddock will be a smoke-free zone for the duration of the Event.

7.7 UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES (UAV) PROHIBITION 7.7.1 Be advised that the use (operation) of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, or other similar devices, by any Competitor, Team, Team member or person/s associated with a Team or Competitor is prohibited. 7.7.2 This prohibition extends for the period of the Event defined as the Event period over the Event area defined as the Event area. 7.7.3 It also includes the prohibition of the use (operation) of any unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), drone or similar device from outside the declared area of the Event over the declared area during the Event period. 7.7.4 A breach of this prohibition will result in the exclusion from the Event for any offending Competitor and or Team and Driver/s. All credentials or admission tickets issued to any offending Competitor or Team, and associated personnel will also be withdrawn. 7.7.5 The prohibition and Penalty for a breach of same as outlined above, is in addition to any Penalty/Penalties that may occur as a result of Civil Aviation Authority (CASA) regulations in relation to the use of UAVs in controlled airspace, and over areas containing significant numbers of people.
