2019 VIRGIN AUSTRALIA SUPERCARS CHAMPIONSHIP – RACES 1 AND 2 CAMS PERMIT NUMBER: 819/0303/01 SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS FOR SUPERCARS STANDARD REQUIREMENTS 1.1 EVENT TITLE, DATE & VENUE 1.1.1 The Event will be known as the “Superloop Adelaide 500” (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”) which will also comprise races 1 and 2 of the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship (“the VCS”), and be held at the Adelaide Parklands Circuit, Adelaide, South Australia on 28th February – 3rd March 2019. 1.2 ORGANISATION & STATUS 1.2.1 The Event will be held under the International Sporting Code including Appendices of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the Supercars Operations Manual (“the Rules”), and any applicable National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS) which are not in conflict with the Rules, the Supplementary Regulations, any Further Supplementary Regulations or instructions and any Bulletins issued. 1.2.2 Event Status: Restricted International. 1.3 ADMINISTRATION & EVENT STAFF ASN: Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd PO Box 147, Caulfield East, VIC, 3145 Telephone: (03) 9593 7777, Facsimile: (03) 9593 7700 1.3.1 Promoter: South Australian Tourism Commission A body established under the South Australian Tourism Act 1993. (6) Weigh Station: Campbell Little, Paul Martin, Frank Adamson. 1.4.15 Media Manager: Cole Hitchcock 1.5 CIRCUIT DETAILS 1.5.1 Track Length: 3.22 kilometres 1.5.2 Direction: Clockwise 1.5.3 Track Density: Supercars – 32 1.5.4 Notice Board: Located at the office of the Secretary of the Event. 1.5.5 Stewards Office: Located adjacent to Race Control, level 2 northern end Pit Garage Complex 1.5.6 DRD Office: Located adjacent to Race Control, level 2 northern end Pit Garage Complex. 1.5.7 Control Line: Is located at the Finish Line and across Pit Entry. ADMINISTRATION 2.1 ENTRIES 2.1.1 Competitors must have completed the 2019 Supercars Entry Registration Form. 2.1.2 Administration checking will commence at 0900hrs (ACDT) on Wednesday 27th February 2019. Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Supplementary Regulations Page 2 of 12 2019 Superloop Adelaide 500 – Races 1 and 2 © Supercars Australia 2.1.2.1 All Driver’s are required to present their licensing in accordance with Rule A5.1 including a valid Car Club Membership to the Supercars Operations Truck during the following times: 1300hrs to 1700hrs (ACDT) on Wednesday 27th February 2019 and from 0830hrs to 1400hrs on Thursday 28th February 2019. 2.1.2.2 All Competitors must present their CAMS International Competitor licence to the Supercars Operations Truck, during the hours as detailed in 2.1.2.1. 2.1.3 Any Competitors that need to change or add any details contained in their 2019 Entry Registration Form must do so at the Supercars Operations Transporter prior to the commencement of the Competitor’s Authorised Representatives Briefing on Wednesday 27th February 2019. 2.1.4 No change of Drivers will be accepted later than 1730hrs (ACDT) on Wednesday 27th February 2019 unless exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Stewards, warrant a change after that time. OPERATIONS 3.1 ACCESS TO PADDOCK 3.1.1 The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of Supercars Paddock Manager or their delegate. 3.1.2 Details of Transporter access into the Circuit and set up of the Supercars paddock, will be in accordance with the instructions issued to Teams under separate cover by the Supercars Paddock Manager. 3.1.3 Transporters are permitted to enter the Supercars paddock commencing at 0800hrs (ACDT) on Wednesday 27th February 2019. 3.1.4 Transporters may arrive at the Circuit from 1300hrs (ACDT) Tuesday 26th February 2019. Transporters are only permitted to park on the Pit straight, however they must not park on any grid markings. 3.1.5 Transporters must not be washed in the paddock. 3.1.6 Other than Team caterers who have the required Transit Car Pass, Passenger vehicles are not permitted to enter the Supercars paddock from 0800hrs (ACDT) on Wednesday 27th February 2019. 3.2 ACCREDITATION CARDS (PASSES) & TEAM PARKING 3.2.1 The Series Accreditation Cards will be recognised by the Organisers. 3.2.2 Accreditation will be required from Wednesday 27th February 2019. 3.2.3 Each entry will be allocated 3 x passes for Car Park 1, access to which is via Gate 1A at the corner of Gillies Street and East Terrace. 3.2.3.1 Additional car parking at Gate 1A on the corner of East Terrace is available for $80 for a 4-day pass. These passes must be pre-ordered from the Promoter at: https://superloopadl500.com.au/hospitality/parking 3.2.4 Team invited guests must be in possession of a paddock pass to gain access into the paddock. No pass no entry. 3.2.5 Each Team caterer will be allocated 1 x transit pass and will be required to exit the paddock prior to 0800hrs (ACDT) each morning. Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Supplementary Regulations Page 3 of 12 2019 Superloop Adelaide 500 – Races 1 and 2 © Supercars Australia 3.3 ACCREDITATION CENTRE OPENING HOURS 3.3.1 The Accreditation Centre is located at Gate 1. 3.3.2 The Accreditation centre will be open at the following times (ACDT): 3.3.2.1 Tuesday 26th February 0800 – 1800 Accreditation Centre 3.3.2.2 Wednesday 27th February 0700 – 1800 Accreditation Centre 3.3.2.3 Thursday 28th February 0600 – 1800 Ticketmaster Box Office 3.3.2.4 Friday 1st March 0700 – 1800 Ticketmaster Box Office 3.3.2.5 Saturday 2nd March 0700 – 2000 Ticketmaster Box Office 3.3.2.6 Sunday 3rd March 0700 – 1500 Ticketmaster Box Office 3.4 RACE TRACK WALK 3.4.1 Teams are permitted to undertake their Race Track walk at any time on Wednesday 27th February 2019. 3.4.2 The Race Track will still be a public road at this time, so please keep to one side where possible. 3.5 EVENT GATE ACCESS TIMES FOR TEAMS 3.5.1 The following gate access times (ACDT) are permitted during the Event, Teams must access the Circuit through Gate 1A: 3.5.1.1 Thursday 28th February 0730 hrs 3.5.1.2 Friday 1st March 0730 hrs 3.5.1.3 Saturday 2nd March 0730 hrs 3.5.1.4 Sunday 3rd March 0730 hrs 3.6 GOLF BUGGIES 3.6.1 All golf buggies must be road registered. 3.6.2 The ‘Vehicle Identification Application’ must be completed and returned to the Promoter for approval. This form will be circulated with the Further Regulations. 3.6.3 No buggy movements are permitted at any time between the rear of transporters and Team Garages. 3.7 STORAGE 3.7.1 Fuel drums are not permitted to be stored directly next to each other. 3.7.2 It is not permitted to store anything under the stairs that lead up to the corporate facilities above the Pit Lane. 3.7.3 Due to limited space in the Supercars paddock, no roll cabs or travel cases etc; are permitted to be stored in the Supercars Paddock. 3.8 DEMOBILISATION AFTER THE EVENT 3.8.1 Unless otherwise advised by Supercars, no Team transporter will be permitted to move from its allocated position or leave the Supercars paddock prior to 1900hrs (ACDT) on Sunday 3rd March 2019. 3.8.2 Details of the Supercars Paddock demobilisation and Transporter departure after the Event, will be in accordance with the instructions issued to Teams under separate cover by the Supercars Paddock Manager. Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Supplementary Regulations Page 4 of 12 2019 Superloop Adelaide 500 – Races 1 and 2 © Supercars Australia SPECIFIC CIRCUIT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS 4.1 MEDICAL SERVICES 4.1.1 The Medical Centre is located on Wakefield Road and will be operational during the following times: 4.1.1.1 Thursday 28th February 0900 – 2000 4.1.1.2 Friday 1st March 0900 – 1915 4.1.1.3 Saturday 2nd March 0900 – 1900 4.1.1.4 Sunday 3rd March 0900 – 1730 4.1.2 Any medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours outlined in 7.2.1, please contact 000.
