Second, is there any possibility to reconstruct and acknowledge the specialty of Surakarta? And, third, what attempts can be taken to make Surakarta acknowledged as Special Region again? This research aims at: First, understanding the background of the obliteration of Surakarta Special Region; second, studying the possibility of re-acknowledgement of the specialty of Surakarta, and third, finding out the attempts that can be conducted to acknowledge Surakarta as Special Region again. This research is a normative legal study using the regulations of law and several statutes as the primary legal material, and the literature relevant to the research object as the secondary legal material. This research uses the historical approach and statute approach. The analysis method used is qualitative descriptive. The conclusion of this research are: First, in historical perspective, the obliteration of Special District of Surakarta resulted from the social movement of the community called “gerakan anti swapraja” which demanded to revoke the special status of Surakarta. Second, the re-acknowledgement of the special status of Surakarta depends of the political will of Central Government, People Representative Council, Regional Government, Regional Legislative, and the community of Surakarta (ex Karesidenan Surakarta). Third, the attempt that can be conducted in order that Surakarta is re-acknowledged as a Special District is by the extension of the region or through the assessment of Law No. -

Earth, Planets and Space (2016) 68:57 DOI 10.1186/s40623-016-0427-z LETTER Open Access Co‑seismic offsets due to two earthquakes (Mw 6.1) along the Sumatran fault system derived from GNSS measurements Takeo Ito1* , Endra Gunawan2, Fumiaki Kimata3, Takao Tabei4, Irwan Meilano2, Agustan5, Yusaku Ohta6, Nazli Ismail7, Irwandi Nurdin7 and Didik Sugiyanto7 Abstract Since the 2004 Sumatra–Andaman earthquake (Mw 9.2), the northwestern part of the Sumatran island has been a high seismicity region. To evaluate the seismic hazard along the Great Sumatran fault (GSF), we installed the Aceh GNSS network for the Sumatran fault system (AGNeSS) in March 2005. The AGNeSS observed co-seismic offsets due to the April 11, 2012 Indian Ocean earthquake (Mw 8.6), which is the largest intraplate earthquake recorded in history. The largest offset at the AGNeSS site was approximately 14.9 cm. Two Mw 6.1 earthquakes occurred within AGNeSS in 2013, one on January 21 and the other on July 2. We estimated the fault parameters of the two events using a Markov chain Monte Carlo method. The estimated fault parameter of the first event was a right-lateral strike-slip where the strike was oriented in approximately the same direction as the surface trace of the GSF. The estimated peak value of the probability density function for the static stress drop was approximately 0.7 MPa. On the other hand, the co-seis- mic displacement fields of the second event from nearby GNSS sites clearly showed a left-lateral motion on a north- east–southwest trending fault plane and supported the contention that the July 2 event broke at the conjugate fault of the GSF. -

CHENG3 SUMMARY Singapore is believed to be located in an aseismic region. However, tremors caused by distant Sumatra earthquakes have reportedly been felt in Singapore for many years. Based on previous studies for Singapore, the maximum credible earthquakes (MCEs) from Sumatra have been hypothesized to be a subduction earthquake (Mw = 9.0) and a strike-slip earthquake (Mw = 7.5). Response at a soft soil site in Singapore to the synthetic bedrock motions corresponding to these maximum credible earthquakes are simulated using a one-dimensional wave propagation method based on the equivalent-linear technique. A typical high-rise residential building in Singapore is analyzed to study its responses subjected to the MCE ground motions at both the rock site and the soft soil site. The results show that the base shear force ratios would exceed the local code requirement on the notional horizontal load for buildings. Because of the large aspect ratio of the floor plan of the typical building, the effects of flexible diaphragms are also included in the seismic response analyses. INTRODUCTION The 1985 Michoacan earthquake, in which a large earthquake (Ms = 8.1) along the coast of Mexico, caused destructions and loss of lives in Mexico City, 350 km away from the epicenter. Learning from the Michoacan earthquake, it has been recognized that urban areas located rather distantly from earthquake sources may not be completely safe from the far-field effects of earth tremors. -

GSTAR is more flexible when faced with the locations that have heterogeneous characteristics. The purposes of this research are to get the best GSTAR model and the forecasting results of Consumer Price Index (CPI) data in Purwokerto, Solo, Semarang and Tegal. The best model obtained is GSTAR (11) I(1) using cross correlation normalization weight because it generated white noise and multivariate normal residuals with average value of MAPE 3,93% and RMSE 10,02. The best GSTAR model explained that CPI of Purwokerto is only affected by times before, it does not affect to other cities but can be affecting to other cities. Otherwise, CPI of Surakarta, Semarang and Tegal are affecting each others. Keywords: GSTAR, Space Time, Consumer Price Index, MAPE, RMSE 1. PENDAHULUAN Inflasi merupakan kecenderungan (trend) atau gerakan naiknya tingkat harga umum yang berlangsung secara terus-menerus dari suatu periode ke periode berikutnya. Pada dasarnya perindustrian mengakibatkan dua dampak, yaitu dampak positif yang berupa timbulnya mata pencaharian dan lapangan kerja serta pengembangan wilayah, dampak negatif berupa pencemaran lingkungan kerja yang dapat menimbulkan penyakit akibat kerja. Industri batik adalah salah satu industri yang sudah berkembang lama di Surakarta dan di Pekalongan bahkan menjadikan Kota Surakarta dan Pekalongan terkenal dengan Kota Batik. Industri ini mempunyai kaitan dengan kebudayaan Jawa. Oleh karena itu keberadaan industri batik harus tetap dilestarikan, bahkan perlu dilakukan upaya peningkatan. Tenaga kerja di industri batik adalah tenaga kerja khusus, harus mempunyai keterampilan tersendiri. Tidak semua orang mau bekerja sebagai tukang cap di industri batik. Meskipun gaji (upah) yang diterima rendah, pekerja di industri batik tetap menekuni pekerjaannya. Perpindahan pekerjaan (turn work over) di industri batik sangat rendah. Mengingat anqka perpindahan pekerjaan yang rendah, perlu dilakukan upaya peningkatan keterampilan kepada tenaga kerja, disamping upaya perlindungan kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja. Industri batik menggunakan beberapa bahan yaitu parafin, gondorukem (colophony, rosin), damar, microwax dan lemak hewan. Bahan-bahan tersebut diproses menjadi satu disebut "malam batik". Untuk membuat motif batik pada kain, malam batik dipanaskan sehingga keluar asap malam batik yang mengandung polutan dan menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan kerja. -

Marjaana Jauhola Marjaana craps of Hope in Banda Aceh examines the rebuilding of the city Marjaana Jauhola of Banda Aceh in Indonesia in the aftermath of the celebrated SHelsinki-based peace mediation process, thirty years of armed conflict, and the tsunami. Offering a critical contribution to the study of post-conflict politics, the book includes 14 documentary videos Scraps of Hope reflecting individuals’ experiences on rebuilding the city and following the everyday lives of people in Banda Aceh. Scraps of Hope in Banda Aceh Banda in Hope of Scraps in Banda Aceh Marjaana Jauhola mirrors the peace-making process from the perspective of the ‘outcast’ and invisible, challenging the selective narrative and ideals of the peace as a success story. Jauhola provides Gendered Urban Politics alternative ways to reflect the peace dialogue using ethnographic and in the Aceh Peace Process film documentarist storytelling. Scraps of Hope in Banda Aceh tells a story of layered exiles and displacement, revealing hidden narratives of violence and grief while exposing struggles over gendered expectations of being good and respectable women and men. It brings to light the multiple ways of arranging lives and forming caring relationships outside the normative notions of nuclear family and home, and offers insights into the relations of power and violence that are embedded in the peace. Marjaana Jauhola is senior lecturer and head of discipline of Global Development Studies at the University of Helsinki. Her research focuses on co-creative research methodologies, urban and visual ethnography with an eye on feminisms, as well as global politics of conflict and disaster recovery in South and Southeast Asia. -

CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION A. Background Indonesia is one of the tourist destination countries in the world. Two major components of Indonesian tourism are nature and culture. Indonesia has a vast archipelago of more than 17,000 islands, the second longest shoreline in the world, 300 different ethnic groups and 250 distinct languages and tropical climate throughout the year (taken from www.google/Indonesia Tourism Today.com, 22 July 2009). In other words, tourism is an important component of the Indonesian economy as well as a significant source of foreign exchange revenues. Unfortunately, since the Bali bombing happened in 2002, bombing terrors continuously happened each year; the 2003 Marriott hotel bombing, the 2004 Australian embassy bombing in Jakarta, and the second bombing in Bali, and also ethnic/religious conflicts in some areas; which significantly reduce the number of foreign visitors. It is because travel warnings were issued by a number of countries. Up to May 2008, no major terrorist attack had happened since 2005 and the United States Government lifted its travel warning to Indonesia. In 2006, 227,000 Australian tourists visited Indonesia and in 2007 this rose to 314,000 (taken from www.google/Indonesia Tourism Today.com, 22 July 2009). In 2008, The Indonesia Ministry of Culture and Tourism, declared 2008 as a visit 1 2 Indonesia year. Visit Indonesia Year 2008 was officially launched on 26 December 2007. The targeted number was 7 million. Visit Indonesia Year 2008 was also commemorating 100 years of Indonesia’s national awakening in 1908. The government also makes some efforts to improve local tourist visit such as intensifying sales missions, selling cheap tourism packages, promoting printed and electronic media and increasing family trip tourism programs. -

Southern segment of Sumatran fault is one of sources of earthquakes in Lampung Province. Hazard map is used as consideration in developing region. The source of hazard comes from stress accumulation of crust which can be derived from movement of points in surface. The study of determining fault location which is source of hazard is important for sustainable development in Lampung Province. The source of hazard is southern segment of Sumatran fault which stretched on Tanggamus, Lampung in south end of Sumatra Island. Tanggamus District has capital in Kota Agung, one of cities with oldest civilization in Lampung Province so that its natural landscape had sedimentated. It causes the delineation of Sumatran Fault Zone by using Digital Terrain Model conducted on previous research had the flaw. This study uses GPS Displacement Data as tool to determine the location of fault beside Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) Data and seismic activity. SRTM Data which is conditional equivalent with Digital Terrain Model has 30 meter resolution and measured in 2018. Seismic activity used in this research is obtained from USGS from last 100 years. Seismic activity used as support data to determine whether the fault delineated with SRTM and GPS displacement is active. GPS displacement is calculated from GPS coordinates measured periodically from 2006 to 2019. -
