8 T Bogus Basin Ski Club • A club for all seasons 2011 Ski Swap by Jane Gabbert

The 2011 Ski Swap is, as they say, “in the can.” It was the most successful and profitable of any past swaps that I have record of. Maybe the bad weather drove people in but the feeling was that people are ready to get with it! Could be the new lift on the mountain had something to do with the level of enthusiasm as well. We sold lots of raffle tickets for the season pass and for the chair lift, got some new members and sold quite a number of our bargain season passes.

Brent Maschmann, Kathleen Atwell, and Jay Breidenback each won a free pair of tickets to the Warren Miller movie. They were excited to get the phone call on Sunday evening after the Swap.

Many thanks to Paul Markowitz, his brother and his pickup truck for hauling all the booth equipment. All that equipment makes quite a load.

Thanks also to Fred Uranga, Horace Hunt, Liz McWhorter, Larry Crockett, Natalie Angell, Stu Rich, Julie Thomason, Tom Cochran, Janet Stone, Ray Wilmont, Jeff Day, Darrell Kurt, Bob Running, Kerry Banyard, Brigette Teets, Nancy Cenell, Mike Jones, Annie Brother, and Fred Brenier for doing shifts in our booth. None of this good stuff would happen without our wonderful club volunteers. All the above names will be entered by Fred Uranga in the volunteer drawing.
