HUMAN PREPARATIONS

The withdrawal period is determined in general on the basis of preparations registered for dogs, if these are comparable. If not comparable, the withdrawal period is determined case by case. When determining the withdrawal period, the veterinarian must consider the qualities of the medicinal product and dosage as well as the effect of the dog’s general condition and disease.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

Withdrawal periods include the period of recovery. New preparations: The withdrawal period is determined in accordance with the therapeutic class. The withdrawal period is however determined case by case when necessary, especially if the preparation differs from the others.
