The seminar focused on transatlantic approaches to writing US Catholic history, with a view to encour- aging scholars of US Catholicism to make more use MATERIALof the Vatican Secret Archives and other Roman repositories. To that end, seminar participants visited seven archives of the Holy See and throughout Rome for hands-on workshops exploring potentially relevant sources.
