Salient Points of BJP National President Shri ’s Press conference in Chhattisgarh

BJP National president Shri Amit Shah addressed a press conference Chattisgarh, Raipur on Friday. On this occasion he informed about the policies and programmes of the Prime minister Shri Mnarendra Modi led NDA government and commended the government on their achievements. Shri Shah said that in the leadership of Prime Minister Shri came out from the economic slowdown and the GDP is growing. In the first half of the fiscal year 2014-15(April- September) gross domestic product (GDP) grwoth rate has increased to 5.5% while in the led UPA government in the first half of fiscal year 2013-14 the growth rate was at 4.9% only. At the same time growth is being seen in the Industrial production index. In September 2014 there was an increase in growth in the Industrial prodcution index by 2.5 % Shri Shah said that the goal of the NDA government is: Sabka saath Sabka Vikaas. Due to the NDA’s public welfare policies there has been record drop in inflation in the past 6 months. Wholesale inflation rate is at an all time low in 5 years. The wholesale price index (WPI) based inflation has come down to 1.77% in October 2014 while under the UPA rule in October 2013 it was at 7.24% and 6.18% in May 2014. In the same way the Consumer Price index based inflation has come down to 5.52% in October 2014 while in the rule of Congress led UPA government it was 10.17% in October 2013 and 8.28% In May 2014. Shri Shah said that with the decrease in in the price of petrol and diesel, all classes of the society including the urban middle class and the farmers have received some relief. Due to the decrease in inflation an appmopriate environment has been made for loans and investments. Shri Shah said that the government has given a big relief to the working medium class by increasing the tax exemption limit from INR two lakh to INR Two and a half lakh and for senior citizens from two and a half lakh to Three Lakh. In this way to avail the agricultural produce of the farmers the Minimum support prices for Rabi and Kharif crops have been increased. Talking about steps taken for implementing the pending economic reforms, Shri Shah said that the government has taken key steps like deregulating the price of diesel and regulating the LPG prices. Other than that rules have been made more liberal in the railways, defence and infrastructure sector. The government is also taking steps to pass necessary bills in the insurance and GST. Shri Shah said that the government started the Prtadhan mantri Jan Dhan Yojana under which more 8 crore accounts have been opened throughout the country. Through this the poor can taken out from the clutches of money lenders and can be integerated with the economy o the nation. Under this programme the goal is to open a bank account for every family. Shri Shah said that for creating job opportunities for the youth and for increasing the speed of industrial development the government has launched the “Make in India” campaign. Other than this the government has started the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Shramev Jayate programme also.PF universal number has been started by the help of which employees can operate their accounts from anywhere. The claim less Rs. 27,000 crore with the employees provident fund organization will be used for the interest of labourers. Shri shah said that under the effort for providing basic ammenities to the common man the government has approved the Rs 43000 crore Deendayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana. Other than this comprehensive reforms have ben made in the electricity sector. Shri Shah said that the government has started the process of developing global standard 100 new smart cities and for that in the general budgt Rs. 7060 crore rupees have been allocated. The government has launched the Swach Bharat Abhiyaan to ensure the cleanliness. For that the Swach bharat fund has been estblished. Shri Shah said that the Modi government has eliminated the UPA government’s Policy paralysis for establishing good governance. The government’s process of making decisions has become faster. The ministerial groups made in the UPA government’s rule have been eliminated. For the attendance of the government employees http://attendance.gov.in/ was started so that all employees of the government offices come on time. Also, on the birthday of former Prime minister Shri Atal Behari Vajapayee, it has been decided that 25th December will be celebrated as Sushasan diwas. Shri Shah said that today the world’s opinion towards India is changing. All the countries where Shri Modi travelled, there were all praise about India. The NDA government has taken steps to protect the interests of the farmers and the poor in WTO and Indians was successful in convincing the developed countries for the same. While discussing the measures for curbing black money and corruption, Shri Shah said that the NDA government constituted a special investigation team for investigating blasck money with in 2 days of coming to power on 27 May. Other than that the finance ministry sent a foreign delegation to Switzerland after which their government agreed on co-operating in the investigation of black money. For bringing transparency the government launched the Digital India programme. As per the recently issued corruption perception index 2014 by international organization Transparency International India ranks at 85 while last year it was at 95. In this way in the past 6 months the image of India has become better in the leadership of Shri Modi ji. Shri Shah said that the United Nations has declared 21 June as “International Yoga day”. It is a glorious and outstanding achievement for India and for this complete credit goes to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.Shri Modi ji while addressing the united nations for the first time on 27 September 2014 had given the proposal of declaring an international yoga day. Under the leadership of Shri Modi ji the efforts of the government has led to the united nations declaring the International Yoga day with in three months. The most impoqrtant fact is that, the proposal to celebrate the International yoga day was supported by 170 countries. This magnificent achievment is a thing of pride and glory for the 125 million people of India. Shri Shah also commended the efforts of the Chattisgarh government on its path to development. While talking about the achievements of the BJP government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri , Shri Shah said that Chattisgarh is a state that provides 24 hours electricity to all its sectors of Urban, rural, agriculture and industries. Here the price of electricity is also low. Shri Shah said that Chattisgarh is the countries first state that has ensured the distribution of rice at the rate of Rs.1 or2 per Kilogram by making Food security and nutrition security laws that is benefiting more than 50 lakh families that account for 90% of the states population. By establishing a better PDS system ration is being supplied to every poverty stricken family. Shri Shah said that Chattisgarh has made the right to skill. Under the skill development 1,50,000 youths between the age group of 15 to 45 years of age have been trained with various skills. Far flung and challenging areas like Dantewada, a livelihood college was established and more than 10000 youths were trained. Shri Shah said that the Chattisgarh government has given Universal health insurance to the people of the state. Here through the medium of smart cards 56 lakh families have been given the facility of free treatment of Rs. 30,000. While establishing new organizations for literacy and health for the state simultaneously a global standard green field capital city Naya Raipur is being developed.
