OFF-SEASON WORK OPPORTUNITIES All work opportunities listed below are paid, and travel is covered by Ramah. Madrichim need not commit to Kayitz 2016 to take advantage of these opportunities (though it is certainly encouraged!). Ramah Shabbat Programs | Ongoing throughout the year | Various locations Ramah Shabbat programs bring the magic of Camp Ramah to synagogues in our region. During these programs, 2- 3 Ramah staff spend Shabbat at a partner congregation and help lead services, run programs, and tell families more about a summer at Ramah. An up-to-date listing of Ramah Shabbatot can be found on our website. Tikvah Family Shabbaton | November 6-8, 2015 & May 27-29, 2016 | Camp Ramah in Palmer, MA The Tikvah Family Shabbaton is a unique weekend retreat where families who have children with disabilities come together as a community to celebrate Shabbat, have fun, and meet families with similar experiences and share ideas and resources. Shabbaton staff need not be experienced Tikvah staff – just have a willingness to learn! Tzad Bet Reunion | March 25-27, 2016| Camp Ramah in Palmer, MA | Tzad Bet 2015 Madrichim The Tzad Bet Reunion will bring over 100 Tzad Bet chanichim to Palmer for an incredible Shabbat filled with ruach, friends, and fun! Staff will sleep in heated tzrifim with the chanichim, and help run programs, supervise campers, and remind everyone why we love camp so much! Priority will be given to those who are committed to 2016, though not required. Ramah Family Camp | May 20-22, 2016 | Camp Ramah in Palmer, MA | All Madrichim It’s Ramah…for the whole family! Family Camp is a wonderful way for interested families to learn more about Ramah by participating in a quintessential Ramah Shabbat. Staff are instrumental in providing excellent customer service, and demonstrating the care that Ramah staff give to all chanichim during the summer. Ramah Service Corps | Ongoing throughout the year | Various locations Looking for something more consistent? The Ramah Service Corps places all-star Ramahniks in congregations throughout the country to help families learn more about the magic of Ramah and engage camper-age children in excellent experiential programming. RSC participants work in a congregation for 2, 3.5, or 5 hours/week, and earn a stipend based on the number of hours they work. If you’re already working at a synagogue religious school or serve as a youth advisor, RSC could be a perfect addition to your pre-existing portfolio! NOW is the time to talk about Kayitz 2016!
