Marié et père de deux enfants, il est aussi de culture arabe depuis son enfance. Capable d’être impulsif, il n’a pas peur de sortir des sentiers battus et d’imposer sa façon de faire les choses. Dévoué corps et âme à son équipe et sa mission, son apparence solide et sa confiance en lui cachent une personne troublée, qui recherche la paix. Taufik Hamad / Abu Ahmad – "La Panthère" (Hisham Suliman) Le "meilleur ennemi" de Doron, et cible n°1 de l’un ité anti-terroriste israélienne. Marié et père de deux enfants, il était le commandant de la branche militaire du Hamas en Cisjordanie. Donné pour mort et enterré, cet arabe rusé, prudent et plein de ressources est un expert en explosifs et un combattant unanimement respecté au sein du réseau terroriste. C’est l’ennemi n°1 d’Israël. Nasrin (Hanan Hillo) D’origine arabe, la femme de Abu Ahmad, mère de ses deux enfants – et "veuve" d’un martyr – a vécu toute son enfance et sa jeunesse avec ses parents à Berlin, et parle couramment allemand, anglais et français. Élégante, instruite et bien éduquée, elle a suivi par amour Abu Ahmad et est retourné vivre à Ramallah. Un choix dont elle paie chaque jour le prix... Walid El Abed (Shadi Mar’i) Cousin, bras droit et confident de Habu Ahmad, le jeune homme est son bras armé alors qu’il reste caché. Discret et loyal, il est très fier que son cousin "mort" lui faire confiance les yeux fermés. Dr Shirin El Abed (Laëtitia Eïdo) Jeune femme-médecin palestinienne, elle exerce à l’hôpital, sans savoir qu’Abu Ahmad y est caché. Indépendante, moderne et éduquée en Europe, elle tente par son engagement de soignante de dépasser le conflit et de vivre une vie normale, loin du chaos. Mais son jeune cousin Walid l’entraîne bientôt à faire des choix contre son gré… Chef Moreno (Yuval Segal) Commandant de l'unité antiterroriste infiltrée, qu’il a créée, c’est un personnage haut en couleurs, intimement lié au ministère israélien de la Défense. Moreno et son unité existent pour éliminer sans hésitation les cibles désignées, en combattant le feu par le feu. C’est lui qui apprend à Doron que La Panthère est en vie et qui va le convaincre de reprendre du service. Steve (Doron Ben-David) Membre expérimenté de l’unité, il a pourtant été recruté dans le civil : paumé, quasiment toxicomane, il a été "découvert" et formé par Doron. Il se distingue particulièrement comme expert en conduite, notamment les motos. Sans famille, ni ami, il est un agent idéal, qui ne vit que pour l'équipe. Boaz (Tomer Kapon) Plus jeune membre de l'unité, c’est le frère cadet de Gali. Après avoir vécu dans l'ombre de son beau-frère Doron, son idole, il est intégré dans l’équipe à la suite du départ de celui-ci, et brûle d’envie de prouver sa valeur. Et quand Doron reprend du service, il se fait encore plus pressant... Nurit (Rona-Lee Shim’on) Membre du personnel de soutien de l’unité et formée au renseignement, la jeune et belle Nurit est la protégée de Moreno. Elle brûle de devenir agent de terrain, mais sera-t-elle à la hauteur de la réalité de cette guerre et des missions de l’unité ? Naor (Tsahi Halevi) Célibataire endurci, il semble dur et même méchant, mais avec un cœur d’or. Pour le bien de la mission, il n’hésitera pourtant pas à faire les choses les plus terribles, même à ceux qu'il aime. Gali (Neta Garty) La femme de Doron, avec qui elle a deux enfants, était ravie qu’il raccroche. Le voir reprendre du service et abandonner leur vignoble et rester sourd à ses rêves de partir loin de la guerre la blesse profondément. Car derrière son grand sourire, c'est une femme avec une tristesse intérieure qui peut parfois la submerger. Elle fait tout pour garder sa famille unie, mais son mariage n’est plus ce qu’il était, et la frustration la gagne… Sans compter la peur de savoir son petit frère suivre les pas de Doron. GUIDE DES ÉPISODES Episode 1 Le commandant en chef Moreno annonce à Doron que Taufik Hamad, aussi connu sous le nom d’Abu Ahmad – "La Panthère" est encore en vie. Doron était convaincu de l’avoir tué. Moreno demande alors à Doron de revenir prendre la tête de son ancien groupe d’intervention spéciale afin de mener cette nouvelle mission à terme : identifier et retrouver Abu Ahmad – et le tuer, cette fois pour de bon. Le petit frère d’Abu Ahmad, Bashir, est sur le point de se marier et d’après les services secrets, Abu Ahmad devrait assister au mariage déguisé. L’équipe de Doron décide alors de s’y infiltrer… Tout se terminera en « Fauda » - le chaos total. Episode 2 Doron supplie Moreno de le laisser retourner sur le terrain pour en finir avec Abu Ahmad. Bashir, petit frère d’Abu Ahmad, a été tué pendant le mariage. Amal, désormais veuve, supplie Nasrin et Jihan, la femme et la mère d’Abu Ahmad, de la laisser voir Abu Ahmad en cachette. Elle souhaite devenir une "shaheedit" et se sacrifier pour se venger de la mort de son mari, mais le cheikh Awadallah refuse sa requête. Episode 3 Déguisé en palestinien sous le nom d’emprunt Amir Mahajneh, Doron rencontre Shirin, une médecin palestinienne exerçant à l’hôpital où se trouve caché Abu Ahmad. Il réussit à se rapprocher suffisamment de lui - mais pour le tuer, il lui faut le feu vert de Moreno. Le jeune Walid, bras droit d’Abu Ahmad et cousin de Shirin, profite de ses retrouvailles avec sa cousine pour la recruter pour soigner Abu Ahmad. Ce dernier demande à Walid d’envoyer Amal en Israël pour y mener une attaque, en s’assurant qu’elle en reviendra vivante. Au même moment, côté israélien, Nurit se lance dans sa première mission sur le terrain en tant qu’infiltrée. Episode 4 Boaz dit à Doron que Daria, sa petite amie, a été tuée lors d’un attentat-suicide, mais le supplie de garder la chose secrète. Doron rompt sa promesse et le dit à Moreno, lui faisant promettre d’empêcher Boaz de revenir sur le terrain. Job, officier du Shin Bet, le contre-espionnage israélien, va à la rencontre de Nasrin et Jihan, et les prévient qu’il sait qu’Abu Ahmad est vivant et leur propose un marché. Malgré le danger pour sa vie que représente une rencontre à l’extérieur, Abu Ahmad insiste pour voir Nasrin. Doron propose un rendez-vous galant à Shirin dans le but de, plus tard, la recruter. Naor et Gali ont une relation dans le dos de Doron. Moreno envoie une équipe pour ratisser l’endroit dans lequel il pense qu’Abu Ahmad se cache... Episode 5 Boaz confronte Doron sur le fait qu’il a révélé son secret à Moreno, qui l’a immédiatement suspendu de toutes opérations. Gali décide de dire la vérité à Doron sur son histoire avec Naor, mais Naor paniqué, se rétracte et lui demande de ne rien dire. Job essaie d’appâter Abu Ahmad en manipulant un membre important du Hamas, Ali Carmi, qui demande à Abu Ahmad de le blanchir d’accusations de trahison et de collaboration avec Israël. Doron se réconcilie avec Shirin, et s’excuse de l’avoir quittée en plein milieu de leur rendez-vous galant. Pendant ce temps, Moreno envoie une équipe, Boaz inclus, pour essayer à nouveau de capturer Abu Ahmad. L’embuscade va se terminer en vrai désastre… Episode 6 Doron annonce à Gali que Boaz a été kidnappé par les hommes d’Abu Ahmad.

Ergänzt durch eine Inhaltsanalyse arabisch- und hebräischsprachiger Rezensionen zeichnet sich das Bild ab, dass orientalistischen Zügen in der Serie entweder direkt durch die Handlung widersprochen oder diese aber durch stilistische Mittel künstlerisch subvertiert werden. Die Analyse über Simmel und Freud zeigt, dass das Andere zwar als solcher auch präsentiert wird, durch den Einsatz von Doppelungen jedoch Zusammenhänge zum Eigenen geschaffen werden und die Sinnhaftigkeit der Eskalation des Konflikts in Frage gestellt wird.
