NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

Talquin Electric , Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Network Administrator. The position location is at our Quincy, Florida office. The requirements for this position are as follows: Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent, with college, school courses, or certificate training in computer systems and networking preferred. Must have work experience with implementing, supporting and troubleshooting complex information technology systems. Must be able to work in a general office environment, which at times will demand unusual working hours as well as occasional travel outside the system. Additionally, the candidate must have in-depth, hands-on experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting Cisco Networking Equipment. A CCNP certification in networking is preferred, but not required. The desired candidate will also have a solid background in network security, routing protocols, layer two protocols and wireless technologies. Preference will be given to candidates who possess Linux Operating System and scripting experience. Candidate must be a self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Must be able to work in a general office environment, which at times will demand unusual working hours as well as occasional travel outside the system. A valid driver’s license is required. The candidate must be able to pass the Cooperative physical examination as well as pre-employment drug screen and background check. Must live at a primary residence located within a 30 minute drive, as determined solely by , of any Talquin Electric office facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Perform duties in a safe, satisfactory, competent and timely manner.

B. Ensure Talquin’s network is optimized, secure and operational.

C. Design and implement technical solutions as required by the Cooperative.

D. Keep abreast of latest technologies as it relates to job requirements.

E. Develop and document standard operating procedures.

F. Identify ways to improve efficiency through use of technology.

G. Provide technical support to Cooperative internal users, members and external vendors as needed

H. Use analytical tools to improve systems stability and .

I. Provide analysis and research into complex technical problems.

J. Assist with analysis, evaluation and preparation of recommendations for network improvements.

K. Promote positive relationships, and work well with all personnel, members, and general public.

L. Perform other tasks as assigned or requested.
