Ships of the Tzenkethi Coalition Diffused Tetryon Beam The Tzenkethi use a diffused beam of tetryons as their primary energy weapons. These weapons resemble phasers but they also are debilitating to deflector systems. Diffused tetryon weapons grant the Versatile 1 and Piercing 1 Qualities. Shuk-din Cruiser In their wars against other forces in the Alpha Quadrant, the Shuk-din-class cruiser is both patrol ship and frontline vessel. Hundreds of these ships move through Coalition space and keep it blocked off from other species. This is the first commission of many Tzenkethi officers but a large percentage choose to stay on Shuk-din vessels rather than be promoted to larger starships. There is an intimacy to the compact Shuk-din that is appealing to communally-minded Tzenkethi. On larger ships and colonies Tzenkethi soldiers will mix with other Echelons but onboard a Shuk-din cruiser they have only other soldiers to interact with. While not for everyone, this is a reassuring situation for many of the Lor Echelon. The smallest of the Tzenkethi capital ships, the Shuk-din-class cruiser is fast and maneuverable but with the powerful tetryon weapons of the Tzenkethi Coalition. Their strong shields and powerful weapon systems allow Shuk-din cruisers to contend with much larger starships, though once their shields fail the Shuk-din has few resources to sustain direct hits. The Physics of Star Trek The Physics of Star Trek The Physics of Star Trek The Physics of Star Trek FOREWORD Stephen Hawking I was very pleased that Data decided to call Newton, Einstein, and me for a game of poker aboard the Enterprise. Here was my chance to turn the tables on the two great men of gravity, particularly Einstein, who didn't believe in chance or in God playing dice. Unfortunately, I never collected my winnings because the game had to be abandoned on account of a red alert. I contacted Paramount studios afterward to cash in my chips, but they didn't know the exchange rate. Science fiction like Star Trek is not only good fun but it also serves a serious purpose, that of expanding the human imagination. We may not yet be able to boldly go where no man (or woman) has gone before, but at least we can do it in the mind. We can explore how the human spirit might respond to future developments in science and we can speculate on what those developments might be. There is a two-way trade between science fiction and science. Science fiction suggests ideas that scientists incorporate into their theories, but sometimes science turns up notions that are stranger than any science fiction. Black holes are an example, greatly assisted by the inspired name that the physicist John Archibald Wheeler gave them. Had they continued with their original names of “frozen stars” or “gravitationally completely collapsed objects,” there wouldn't have been half so much written about them. -

The three year old HUMAN BOY who stands before them. The boy is alone and frightened, lost in the sweeping grandeur of the massive chamber. CREDITS continue as we fade to EXT. REMAN HOMEWORLD NIGHT Labor… On a stark, desert planet with monolithic mountains and harsh crags shooting upward. The only light in this dark netherworld comes from the flames that accompany the hellish mining operations everywhere around us. The human boy gazes over this desolate vista and then he looks up for a moment… at the stars. Then a tall figure leads him firmly into one of the mines. The boy seems to disappear into this flaming crucible. White Buffalo - NCC 80116 Quantum Singularity Core + Slipstream Drive Information Packet Quantum Singularity Core Intro: Since I started working on the White Buffalo’s QSC, I discovered that everything I knew about Quantum Singularities and how they could be manipulated to create enough power to not only sustain a warp reaction, but that they could also power a vessel as large as, or larger than, 1,041.65 Meters Long, 772.43 Meters Width, 285.47 Meters Tall, and with a Mass of 4,320,000 Metric Tons. With this kind of power a Federation Starship would be able to maintain a more stable warp reaction, power all of its systems at one time, (Provided your power network could also maintain the power flow) and even maintain power for systems outside of the ship, like shields, tractor beam, the deflector dish, or much more. I also discovered that few onboard understood the propulsion mechanics involved with the QSC, Including myself. Having to adapt to a power core, and warp system like this because the Orion Syndicate ripped it from a Romulan Warbird and placed it into a Federation Aerie Class starship was interesting enough, but then to figure out how to use it without destroying not only the ship, but possibly the fabric of space-time itself was almost daunting to say the least. -

TEASER FADE IN: EXT. SPACE A Bajoran shuttlecraft flies past the camera. We can see that it has taken some damage -- scorched hull plating, damaged sensor systems, dangling wires, etc. A ship that's less than ship-shape. As the ship flies away and recedes into the distance we hear, very faintly in the background, a modulated, pulsing tone, like the carrier signal of a radio transmission. CUT TO: INT. BAJORAN SHUTTLE -- COCKPIT We are looking at two screens, on the starboard wall. The top one is blown out, covered in spiderwebs of fractured glass; the bottom one shows a standard status display. For a moment, we hear the same modulated tone -- then it stops, and writing begins flashing on the screen. Our angle, however, prevents us from reading it. All is quiet for a moment, then... TORAN (V.O.) Ow! We slowly pan over to see TORAN NOA sitting in the starboard pilot's seat, wincing in pain. There is a deep scratch on his left cheek, which is being tended to by ELRIS LEA. ELRIS Sorry. TORAN Do you have that dermal regenerator on setting three? ELRIS Setting two, actually. The medkit may have suffered damage, so I don't want to take chances. She works on it for a minute longer, then pulls her instrument away. Toran's cheek looks normal, except for a rapidly disappearing patch of red. Elris kisses it. ELRIS (CONT'D) All better. TORAN Thanks. Is Carter all right? A pause, then they both turn and look toward the rear of the cockpit, where LEWIS CARTER is curled into a corner, shaking with fear. -
