Needed for a Proteolytic Enzyme Supplement and Eccentric Exercise Study Researchers in the Exercise and Biochemical Laboratory at Baylor University are recruiting 30 healthy and physically active, endurance trained men between the ages of 18 and 30. Eligible men will be participating in a study designed to evaluate the effects of a proteolytic enzyme supplement with eccentric exercise of the lower body. Participants will be required to ingest orally either a protease or placebo supplement for 24 days and then perform a single bout of eccentric exercise, while also submitting a blood sampling and muscle biopsies of the leg. Those completing the study will receive $150. Men Needed for a Creatine Supplement and Training Status Study Researchers in the Exercise and Sport Nutrition Laboratory at Baylor University are recruiting 40 healthy men between the ages of 18 and 30. Eligible men will be participating in a study designed to evaluate the effects of creatine supplement and training status on physiological markers associated with energy production. Participants will be required to ingest supplements and undergo muscle biopsies and blood sampling. Those completing the study will receive $100. Hay-Day Straw Poll Results Over 500 students voted in last Tuesday's Student Government Hay-Day Presidential Straw Poll. Among Republicans, Mike Huckabee finished first with 37.8 percent.
