Wonderful recognition – Dave has done a sterling job for us over the past 4 seasons producing pitches with pace and bounce and renowned as being fair to both batsmen and bowlers. Above, Dave at work preparing the Shore Road pitch for our Reserves’ 2nd day of their last game of the season, 1 April. Note the strong covering of grass remaining, and a couple of spare strips, despite us hosting an Auckland A match and a couple of social games during the season. The pitch was a credit to Dave who has worked tirelessly, not only on this block but also on the grass pitches at Orakei Domain and Thos.
