Diplomas and Certificates will be distributed immediately after these exercises. Senior women carry roses in the tradition of Abbot Academy. All guests, including individuals using cameras or video equipment, are asked to respect the integrity of the ceremonies by observing the string barriers during the Commencement Exercises and by remaining outside the circle and behind the seniors throughout the distribution of diplomas. The. steps of the Addison Gallery are recommended for formal graduation photographs. The Headmaster and the Faculty invite the Class and their families to a reception on the Great Lawn by the Armillary Sphere, or if it rains, in the Sumner Smith Hockey Rink.
