Description: Abstract: Jazz singer Carmen Lundy (1954 - ) has recorded fourteen albums and published over 100 songs. She has also acted on stage and is an exhibited painter and co-founder of Afrasia Productions. Lundy was interviewed by The HistoryMakers® on November 12, 2014, in Woodland Hills, California. This collection is comprised of the original video footage of the interview. Identification: A2014_256 Language: The interview and records are in English. Biographical Note by The HistoryMakers® Jazz singer, arranger and composer Carmen Lundy was born on November 1, 1954 in Miami, Florida. Her mother, Oveida, was the lead singer in a gospel group; her younger brother, Curtis Lundy, is a jazz bassist. Inspired by those around her, Lundy began playing the piano at age six, and started singing in her church choir at age twelve. She went on to attend the University of Miami, where she received her B.M. degree in studio music and jazz. At the age of sixteen, Lundy began her professional career in Miami, then moved to New York City in 1978 where she worked with numerous Jazz veterans. The following year, she made her first appearance on an album with a group called Jasmine; and, in 1980, formed her own group, performing with pianists John Hicks and Onaje Gumbs. -

Legends Of Motown: Celebrating The Supremes Opening June 25 New Exhibit Features Rare Artifacts from the Premier Motown Records Act Founding Supremes Member Ms. Mary Wilson to Appear at the GRAMMY Museum June 24 For Intimate Interview and Q&A LOS ANGELES (June 5, 2015) — The GRAMMY Museum will explore the enduring legacy and influence of Motown Records' premier recording artists with the unveiling of Legends Of Motown: Celebrating The Supremes on June 25, 2015. The exhibit will offer visitors a unique look at the life and career of one of the most successful American singing groups of the '60s, the Supremes, through rare artifacts from the private collection of founding member Ms. Mary Wilson. On display on the Museum's third floor through spring 2016, the exhibit will feature rare photographs from the personal collection of Mary Wilson; concert posters; tour books, fan memorabilia; and an assortment of performance gowns, including: "Primette Pristine" gowns worn in 1961, one of the earliest sets purchased by the Supremes when they were still known as the Primettes "White De Mink" outfit worn on ABC's "The Hollywood Palace" in 1966 "Turquoise Freeze" dresses worn during a 1967 appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" "Red Hot" gown worn by Mary Wilson on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1970 for the debut of the new Supremes lineup featuring Cindy Birdsong and Jean Terrell "We've been eager to feature an exhibit celebrating Motown since we honored Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson at our inaugural benefit gala in 2013," said Bob Santelli, Executive Director of the GRAMMY Museum. -

COMMONWEALTHOF PENNSYLVANIA, : No. 39 MAP 2020 : Appellee : Appeal from the Order of Superior : Court at No. 3314 EDA 2018 dated : December 10, 2019 Affirming the v. : Judgment of Sentence dated : September 25, 2018 of the : Montgomery Court of Common WILLIAM HENRY COSBY JR., : Pleas, Criminal Division, at No. CP- : 46-CR-3932-2016 Appellant : : ARGUED: December 1, 2020 OPINION JUSTICE WECHT DECIDED: June 30, 2021 In 2005, Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor learned that Andrea Constand had reported that William Cosby had sexually assaulted her in 2004 at his Cheltenhamresidence. Alongwith his top deputy prosecutorandexperienceddetectives, District Attorney Castor thoroughly investigated Constand’s claim. In evaluating the likelihood of a successful prosecution of Cosby, the district attorney foresaw difficulties with Constand’s credibility as a witness based, in part, upon her decision not to file a complaint promptly. D.A. Castor further determined that a prosecution would be frustrated because there was no corroboratingforensic evidence and because testimony from other potential claimants against Cosby likely was inadmissible under governing laws of evidence. The collective weight of these considerations led D.A. Castor to conclude that, unless Cosby confessed, “there was insufficient credible and admissible evidence upon which any charge against Mr. Cosby related to the Constand incident could
