PORSCHEWILLOUGHBY.COM.AU - 13 CHOPARD ACCOMPANIES PORSCHE MOTORSPORT’S RETURN TO THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS IN 2015.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is unquestionably the most highly anticipated fixture in the FIA World Endurance Championship season. In 2014 the legendary race carried a distinctive flavour since seeing the grand return of Porsche to a track that has brought the German team 16 victories: a still unmatched record.

In Le Mans on the morning of Saturday 14th June 2014, Karl- Friedrich Scheufele, Chopard co-president, had the pleasure of awarding some of the first Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 Limited Edition watches to the winners of the Cup before the official race. At 3pm that afternoon, the Porsche drivers, including Australian Mark Webber, set off on the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race that has shaped some of the greatest motorsport legends and is where Porsche forged part of its own legend between 1970 and 1988. United by shared values such as the constant quest for performance and excellence, Porsche Motorsport and Chopard naturally gravitated towards each other around their passion for racing. Born of a desire to pursue reliability and innovation, Chopard have unveiled a special Porsche 919 Limited Edition watch based on the Superfast Chrono bodywork. Its dial echoes various details of the Porsche 919 Hybrid, which will compete again in 2015 in the LMP1 category at Le Mans. This imposingly sized chronograph with its 45 mm diameter case and fly back function beats to the pace of a mechanical Chopard 03.05- M calibre chronometer certified by the COSC. This ‘engine’ and its oscillating weight may be admired through a sapphire crystal engraved with “Official Timing Partner Porsche Motorsport”. Inspired by the new Porsche 919 Hybrid, the stripes on the dial evoke the racing car’s rear diffuser. Likewise, the “919” appearing in a red rectangle inside a 9 o’clock sub dial is identical to the number of the Porsche racing cars. Finally, the rubber strap is inspired by the slick tyres serving to negotiate bends at extremely high speeds.

PORSCHEWILLOUGHBY.COM.AU - 21 With Ben Drew Usability tips New Porsche Sales Manager ADJUSTING YOUR CLOCK FOR DAYLIGHT SAVING (MY12 models upwards)

The clock in your Porsche is automatically set by the GPS system. The only setting you are required to adjust is the daylight saving indicator when it commences or ends.

Scroll to the “Vehicle” menu on your multi-function display located on the 1 right of your instrument cluster. Press ‘enter’ by either pressing the round roller on the right side of your 2 multi function steering wheel or by pressing the additional control stalk on the right side of your steering column away from you. 3 Select “Settings” from the menu that appears, then select “Date & Time” To take the clock out of daylight saving mode un-tick the checkbox labelled 4 “DST” or “Summer Time” (model dependent) by pressing the enter button. The time should now be adjusted. To return to the main menu press the ‘escape’ 5 button (i.e. the arrow button below the right hand roller or by pulling the additional control stalk towards you) until you return to the “Vehicle” screen.

The steps to adjust the time differ for models without the multi function display – please contact a member of our sales or service team who will be able to guide you through the process on (02) 9958 0900
