Measuring Converting Units of Time Time Units of measurement can be converted from one unit to another.

How to Convert Conversions Multiply Divide BIG unit small unit small unit BIG unit 1 minute = 60 seconds 1 hour = 60 minutes WEEK days days WEEKS 1 day = 24 hours DAY hours hours DAYS 1 week = 7 days HOUR minutes minutes HOURS 1 year = 365 days

Example: A school day is 7 hours long. How many minutes long is it? 1 hr = 60 minutes For every hour, there are 60 minutes. 7 hr = 420 minutes So, multiply 7 x 60 = 420 minutes.
