Schellackplatten Gebotsliste 1/08 Schellackplatten Festpreisliste (Unterhaltung) Stand: 01.02.2020 Die angebotenen Plattten werden jeweils an den Erstbesteller verkauft. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, per Brief oder per E-mail an [email protected] zu Bestellen (bitte keine telefonischen Bestellungen). Jeder Besteller wird benachrichtigt und erhält eine Rechnung, Auslandsbestellungen versenden wir nur gegen Vorkasse. Alle Preise in Euro (€) Die Festpreisliste wird regelmässig aktualisiert. Jede Platte wurde angespielt und mit einem Zustandscode-Zeichen (s. unten) versehen, damit auch kleinere Mängel vermerkt sind. Bitte haben Sie Verständnis, dass es unmöglich ist, alle Platten ganz abzuhören; sollten Sie mit einer Zustandsbewertung am Ende doch nicht zufrieden sein, bitte lassen Sie es uns wissen, wir offerieren in diesem Falle jedem Teilnehmer volles Rückgaberecht (Erstattung des Kaufpreises, nicht der Portokosten) innerhalb von 10 Tagen. Damit der Zahlungsablauf für die EU-Kunden einfach abläuft, haben wir ein Eurokonto in Deutschland eingerichtet. Abstract approved:_____________________________________________________ Ryann Reynolds-McIlnay The rise of digital streaming has largely impacted the way the average listener consumes music. Consequentially, while the role of album art has evolved to meet the changes in music technology, it is hard to measure the effect of digital streaming on modern album art. This research seeks to determine whether or not graphic design still plays a role in marketing information about the music, such as its genre, to the consumer. It does so through two studies: 1. A computer visual analysis that measures color dominance of an image, and 2. A mixed-design lab experiment with volunteer participants who attempt to assess the genre of a given album. Findings from the first study show that color scheme models created from album samples cannot be used to predict the genre of an album. Further findings from the second theory show that consumers pay a significant amount of attention to album covers, enough to be able to correctly assess the genre of an album most of the time.

Classic rock standouts Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs will perform in Muriel Kauffman Theatre on Saturday, June 17. Both musicians made their names as members of legendary rock groups and have since enjoyed successful solo careers. McDonald sang with Steely Dan and was a member of The Doobie Brothers. Scaggs spent time as lead singer for the Steve Miller Band. Tickets for the event range from $59 to $139, and go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, March 24.     JAMES TAYLOR Over the course of his long career, James Taylor has earned 40 gold, platinum and multi- platinum awards for a catalog running from 1970’s Sweet Baby James to his Grammy Award-winning efforts Hourglass (1997) and October Road (2002). Taylor’s first Greatest Hits album earned him the RIAA’s elite Diamond Award, given for sales in excess of 10 million units in the United States. For his accomplishments, James Taylor was honored with the 1998 Century Award, Billboard magazine’s highest accolade, bestowed for distinguished creative achievement. The year 2000 saw his induction into both the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and the prestigious Songwriter’s Hall of Fame. In 2007 he was nominated for a Grammy Award for James Taylor at Christmas. In 2008 Taylor garnered another Emmy nomination for One Man Band album. Raised in North Carolina, Taylor now lives in western Massachusetts. He has sold some 35 million albums throughout his career, which began back in 1968 when he was signed by Peter Asher to the Beatles’ Apple Records.
