A beguiling land of forts and palaces, Rajasthan will be sure to enchant you with its splendors. Riding through the former princely states will provide an insight into a majestic world as Rajasthan remains a land still connected to its regal past. The vibrancy and colours of Rajasthan will be ever present on this amazing cycle journey as we ride from the once powerful Raj state of pink-hued Jaipur, through the sandy-coloured land dotted by the vivid splashes of turbans and the skirts of villagers, to the blue city of Jodphur and end at the alabaster 'City of Lakes', Udaipur. Day 1 Arrive in Jodhpur airport and transfer to the hotel. We meet for dinner and a trip brieﬁng.

Day 2 We tour Jodhpur, including Meherangarh Fort, after which you are free to explore the town and lunch on your own. In late afternoon, we have an orientation ride around Chandelao.

Day 3 We ride through small towns and farms; terrain gets drier and more arid. We stay in Luni, known as a hub of artisans who possess skills passed down from generation to generation.

Day 4 Following on a road parallel to the Luni River, the terrain gets more arid, covered by acacia and prosopis trees. We may see the rare Black Buck antelope that is luckily common in this area. We overnight in a big house owned decedents of local aristocracy who share their experiences. Day 5 Today's ride is for the remote Bhawrani village. The road is mainly dirt tracks with some unique sites. We end the day with dinner on a sand hill outside town with sights of nomadic herder camps. Then we head back to Rakhi for one more night with the Singh family.

Day 6 We head towards Bhawrani town, riding through the farmlands and old stone quarries.

Day 7 Leaving the dry Thar desert behind, we ride into the greener area of the south east, where the Aravalli mountains come into view. We overnight by the foothills at Jojawar.

Day 8 We loop around the Aravalli foothills near the village, exploring remote villages and shepherd settlements.

Day 9 The Aravali range will always be on our left as we ride towards the Jain temples of Ranakpur where every of the 1,444 marble pillars are carved in exquisite detail.

Day 10 Our ﬁrst long uphill awaits! We ride through the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary as we ascend on a gentle grade up the Araveli range. From the plateau, our ride undulates until the steep approach to Kumbhalgarh.

Day 11 A great day cycling through the rolling countryside starts from the lofty Aravalli Hills and down through the barren lowlands to the lake city of Udaipur.

Day 12 Ride into the green countryside and visit the Monsoon Palace. Then return to the city by riding around Fateh Lake. After a sunset boat ride, we have a farewell dinner over the beautifully illuminated city.

Day 13 Morning and afternoon transfers to the airports in Delhi and Mumbai for onward ﬂights.
