Library Foundation Sponsors Author Visits

On Saturday, February 9th, The Hanson Public Library Foundation, Inc. sponsored an Italian Literary Luncheon featuring Stephen Puleo, author of The Italians: A Story of Pride, Perseverance, and Paesani, from the Years of the Great Immigration to the Present Day. The eighty six people in attendance were treated to a wonderful afternoon of fine food as well as a compelling talk on the history of the Boston Italians. After his book talk, Stephen Puleo answered questions and signed copies of his books Boston Italians and Dark Tide: The Great Boston Molasses Flood of 1919. The luncheon was made possible by the support of our corporate sponsors. Two Hanson businesses, Bernardo’s and The STEPHEN PULEO, AUTHOR Olde Hitching Post, provided the main dishes for the luncheon. Bertucci’s of Hingham, Pacini’s of Whitman, Trader Joe’s of Hanover, and Shaws of Hanson also made generous contributions.
