"As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace" (1 Peter 4:10) As we re-start the second year of the Pastoral Plan, focus on the gifts that God has given you. Many times, we can overlook our gift because we think it will present itself as an . In fact, our gift calls us subtly over time and can be found in the ordinary day-to-day living experiences. The dropping of students in the morning and the picking up at 3pm are all doing smoothly. Please remember the school in your last will and testament. We need your ongoing support to assure our parish can continue in giving quality Catholic education to our children. The children are the future of our parish. 26th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME B. Being jealous of another person can sometimes cause us to exclude or disregard the contributions they make. In today’s Gospel, the disciples wanted to stop the person who was healing in Jesus’ name because this person was not a follower of Jesus. In reply, Jesus told the disciples to let this person continue. The disciples sounded jealous because they thought that they were the only ones who would be able to heal others using the power of Jesus’ name. Jesus teaches them that they should not be jealous. Instead they should remember that all who do what God wants are equal in his eyes and are working together to serve the Kingdom of God. This is important for us to remember. Whenever we do something good for another person, even the smallest good deed, God is pleased with us. And God wants us to appreciate the good deeds of others, who are working, like us, to serve the Kingdom of God. PARISH SOLEMNITY. September 29th is the feast day of the Archangels, Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. This is also a parish solemnity. We started the Novena in Supplications of the Holy Angels on September 20. The Masses on September 29 are at 8AM, 12N and 6:30PM. St. Raphael, please continue to protect our parish and bring healing to our parishioners during the pandemic. OCTOBER WEEKDAY MASSES. During the height of the pandemic when people stayed at home, we changed the weekday Masses to 8am and 12n. Now that a lot of them are back to work, they are requesting to return to 7:30am so that they can attend Mass first before going to work. I consulted the clergy, the school principal and teachers and heads of liturgical ministries. They find it reasonable, as well as, I find there is no problem with other parish activities. So on October 4th Monday, we start with 7:30 am and 12n weekday Masses. Saturday Masses will be 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. OCTOBER is the month of the Holy Rosary. Please pray for the holiness of our clergy: bishops, priests and deacons. Pray for the Catholic Church. Satan is seemingly winning the battle but he will not win the war. Let’s join the whole world in praying the ROSARY on October 9 @ 12N in our Rosary Walk Garden. OCTOBER 4 is the Feast of St. Francis. There is a blessing of animals in the Grotto on that day at 6:00 pm. Deacon Rich is presider. No elephant and anaconda, please! In the service of the Lord, Fr. Gene CONFESSIONS are now back in the confessional box. Call the rectory for appointment.

NEW TEARDROPS MINISTRY We are very excited to introduce a new ministry for our parish! Beginning the first weekend in October, our clergy will be sponsoring “Teardrops.” This ministry was inspired by St. Monica, who prayed for the conversion of her son. Inspired by her mission, each week the parish will pray for our brothers and sister who have fallen away from the church. Our parish Deacons will be introducing the ministry at all our weekend Masses.
