Cincinnati was the place to be this April, as many P&G employees and their families gathered for the sixth annual Su Casa Hispanic Center awards banquet. Sponsored by Procter & Gamble, the banquet was held at the University of ’s Fifth Third Arena.

This year’s program included local volunteer dancers and musicians, and a keynote address from Ricardo Moncada, vice president, human resources at XPEDX International Paper Company.

“The Su Casa Center has proven to be a valuable resource for Cincinnati’s Hispanic community,” said Ingrid Rivera, P&G ER multicultural communications lead. “As communities become more and more diverse, P&G strives to lead by example – helping to equip communities with the essentials needed to flourish.”

Su Casa was founded in 1997, through a grant from the P&G Fund, to help new immigrants become self-sustaining and productive members of the Cincinnati community. Since its inception, Su Casa has evolved to offer programs that focus on educating women about improving their health, home, and child safety and P&Gers and other guests are photographed during the sixth development – expanding to four locations around the city. CINCY CINCO OFFERS A TASTE OF LATINO CULTURE

England has crumpets, and France has its famous crepes. But, in late April, Cincinnati had a 72-foot taco… and so much more. In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, the annual “Cincy Cinco” festival was held for two days in . Sponsored by Procter & Gamble, this annual event is a celebration of Latino culture that hopes to inform and entertain.

Designed to help educate Latinos about the resources available within the Cincinnati community, Cincy Cinco educates families on Latino culture, values, and traditions. Festivities also included Latino art, music, food, dancing, and children’s activities.

Through events such as Cincy Cinco, P&G continues its tradition of helping people celebrate the culture and diversity of their local community.
