TELEVISION The media exposure aff orded University of Cincinnati basketball makes the Bearcats one of the most recognizable teams in the country. UC has averaged 21 regional or national television exposures annually over the last nine seasons. In 2007-08, the Bearcats appeared on the ESPN networks 17 times. OUTLOOK SEASON The combination of the regional and national telecasts, and the games televised locally by Fox Sports Net Ohio (FSN Ohio), means that essentially all Cincinnati men’s basketball games are on TV. BIOGRAPHIES The BIG EAST produces a weekly television show, Inside the BIG EAST, which is distributed regionally. The Bearcats also enjoy local and regional exposure via Bearcats Sports Weekly with Mick Cronin Show, the weekly half-hour show featuring the Bearcats’ head coach.

FSN OHIO STAFF & COACHES FSN Ohio and the University of Cincinnati reached a multi-year agreement this past summer that will make FSN Ohio the exclusive regional cable home of UC football and men’s and women’s basketball. UC programming in 2008-09 will include a minimum of 12 men’s basketball games; two women’s basketball games; preseason and postseason specials for football

and basketball; season-long football and basketball coaches’ shows; plus ADMINISTRATION an extensive schedule of BIG EAST football and basketball games. RADIO Bearcats games can be heard in 38 states via the 50,000-watt signal of WLW-AM 700. The ClearChannel station broadcasts every UC basketball game and hosts a weekly telephone call-in show featuring head coach REVIEWSEASON Mick Cronin. SERVICES PROVIDED FOR STUDENT-ATHLETES Academic Advising: The UC Academic Services staff provides information regarding policies, procedures, course selection, selection of major and minor areas of study as well as NCAA and university guidelines for adequate academic progress. Priority Registration: Student-athletes meet with an advisor in their college in order to obtain a check sheet and a graduation plan. OUTLOOK SEASON The student-athlete then meets with an athletic academic advisor during priority registration in order to register for the quarter. Priority registration allows student-athletes to register for classes around practice and competition schedules. The last 19 seasons has been one of the brightest periods in the University of Cincinnati’s rich basketball history. In fact, only the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, during which the Bearcats made fi ve straight trips to the Final Four and won back-to-back national championships, shines brighter. SEASON OUTLOOK SEASON Bob Huggins, who was named head coach in 1989, rekindled those national championship expectations in only his third season at the helm when he directed UC to the Final Four.
