Most of the faculties under-go Faculty Development Programs (FDP’s) to hone their skills. For an academician an inclination towards undertaking research activities and publications augurs well not only for him but also contributes to the enrichment of social work education and also leads to indigenization of social work knowledge. A study has been conducted on 45 social work faculty members in the state of Telangana by administering a questionnaire to assess their responses regarding the research and publication activities and it is found that on the research and publications front the interest, time spent and achievements of faculty members is quite dismal .In the interest of social work education the faculty members have to reorient themselves and have to focus on research and publications and implications are drawn for faculty development in this regard. Monitoring Agency for the Project. 6th October, 2018. SUMMARY PROGRESS IN BRIEF 1. The total number of complaints received from the 15th June 2009 till 30th September, 2018 is 5530. Complaints received in this quarter are 415.During this quarter 141 cases were closed at the Monitoring Agency level to the satisfaction of the complainant. 6 cases were escalated to UGC. 43 cases were closed by UGC after following the due process. As of now 14 cases are pending with UGC. 2. Progress on development of data base of colleges is good. We have a data set of about 47982 colleges. Out of which we have E mail & phone numbers for roughly 29961 colleges. ___________________________________________________________________________ 1 Support Aman Movement For Eradication of Ragging. 1800 180 55 22 [email protected] 3. The campaign to register on line for affidavits is growing & going on strong. It will continue to grow in the future. So far – no work has been done in this regard. 5. Exceptionally high numbers of complaints continue to be received from Medical Colleges across the country. 52 complaints were received in this quarter alone. 6. On awareness the Trust has two dedicated internet lease lines that send 150000 e-mails per day to students & parents to create awareness against Ragging.
