Oktober 2013 Curlinghalle Urdorf / SUI Curling Champions Tour “CHALLENGER – SERIES“ Willkommen im Limmattal Der Curling Club Limmattal freut sich die erste Austragung der Thompson Curling Challenge 2013 im Rahmen der Curling Champions Tour „Challenger-Series“ durchführen zu dürfen. Für eine drei Rinkhalle ist es eine grosse Ehre ein so prominentes internationales Teil- nehmerfeld beherbergen zu dürfen. Wir unsererseits werden ALLES dafür geben, damit sich die Teilnehmer, aber auch die hoffentlich zahlreichen Zuschauer bei uns im Limmattal wohlfühlen werden. Das dritte Oktoberwochenende wird das grosse Highlight dieser Saison im Limmattal sein und wir freuen uns auf spannende Spiele mit vielen Big-Points. Philipp Locher Präsident Curling Club Limmattal & Thompson Curling Supplies Welcome to Limmattal The Limmattal Curling Club is pleased to host the Thompson Curling Challenge 2013, which is part of the Curling Champions Tour “Challenger-Series”. An international field with such great teams is not usual for a three-sheet curlingrink. We will do our best, that the teams and spectators feel as comfortable as possible in the Limmattal. The third october weekend will definitely be one of the biggest highlights this season and we are looking forward to watch great games and big-points. Philipp Locher President Limmattal Curling Club & Thompson Curling Supplies Turnier-Reglement Die Thompson Curling Challenge wird mit 16 Teams in 4 Gruppen zu je 4 Teams als „Round Robin“ ausgetragen. 6 Teams qualifizieren sich für die Playoffs. Spiele gehen über 8 Ends ausser T1/T2 über 6 Ends. Zusatzend für alle Spiele Bei Gleichstand nach regulären Ends wird 1 Zusatzend gespielt. Das Team ohne Hammer im Zusatzend gewinnt das Spiel im Falle eines Nullerends. Zeitlimite für alle Spiele Nach 110 min. darf kein weiteres reguläres End mehr begonnen werden. (Bei Gleichstand = 1 Zusatzend) Hammer in Round Robin & T1/T2 Vor dem ersten Spiel darf 1 Practice-Draw gespielt werden. Im Anschluss folgt der LSD. Nach allen Round Robin Spielen wird ein LSD gespielt. Für alle Spiel (ohne Playoffs) entscheidet der letzte LSD über den Hammer. Bei gleichem LSD wird der Hammer mittels Münzwurf entschieden. Ranking Nach Abschluss aller Gruppenspiele wird pro Gruppe eine Rangliste nach folgenden Kriterien erstellt: 1. Anzahl Siege 2. Direktbegegnung(en) 3. DSC (Das DSC entspricht dem Durchschnitt der drei besten LSD) Playoffs Die Gruppensieger sind für P1/P2 qualifiziert und haben zwei Chancen in die Halbfinals einzuziehen. Gruppenzweite spielen in T1/T2. Sieger von T1/T2 spielen gegen die Verlierer von P1/P2 um die verbleibenden zwei Halbfinalplätze. Hammer in Playoffs Vor den Spielen in den Playoffs darf jeweils 1 Practice-Draw gespielt werden, gefolgt vom LSD welcher über den Hammer entscheidet. Bei gleichem LSD wird der Hammer mittels Münzwurf entschieden. Final Der Final wird ohne Zeitlimite und mit Zusatzends bis zur Entscheidung gespielt. ************************************************************* Preisgeldaufteilung / Thompson Curling Shop Gutscheine & CASH 1. The round robin with 4 pools of 4 teams and playoffs with 6 teams. Games will be played over 8 ends. T1/T2 will be played over 6 ends. Extra ends for all games If teams are tied, there will be one extra end. The team without hammer in extra end wins, if the extra is blanked. Time-limit After 110 min. it's not allowed to start a new regular end. (If it's tied = extra end) Hammer in round robin & T1/T2 Prior to the first game, there will be one practice draw, followed immediately by a LSD. All round robin games are followed by a LSD. For all round robin games and T1/T2 the better LSD will determine the hammer. (If it's tied = coin toss) Ranking At the end of the round robin the ranking for each pool will be drawn by following criteria: 1. Win / Loss record 2. Head to head result(s) 3. DSC (The DSC is the average of the three best LSD, out of the four LSD played) Playoffs All winners of the pools are qualified for P1/P2, with two chances to reach the semi-finals. Runnerups in pools play in T1/T2. The winner from T1/T2 play the loosers from P1/P2, to determine the two other semi-finalists. Hammer in playoffs Prior to the games, there will be one practice draw, followed immediately by a LSD. The team with the better LSD gets the hammer.     Baden Hills Curler besetzen Spitzenpositionen in Deutschland Team von Alexander Baumann holt Platz Eins zurück Nach dem letztjährigen Sieg des Juniorenteams um Klaudius Harsch vom Baden Hills Golf und Curling Club Rastatt (BHGCC) drehte in diesem Jahr Alexander Baumann mit seiner neuformierten Mannschaft den Spieß um und gewann äußerst knapp mit 0,7 cm Vorsprung vor den Junioren und dem Team von Daniel Neuner, einer Kombination aus Spielern von Füssen, Oberstdorf, Riessersee und Konstanz. Alle drei Mannschaften waren nach fünf Spielen am Ende punktgleich nur die LSD – Regelung (last stone draw) führte dazu, dass Baumann mit seinen Mitspielern im Durchschnitt den geringsten Abstand zum Zentrum im Haus aufwies. Während gegen die restlichen Gegner mehr oder weniger klare Siege errungen werden konnten, verlor Baumann mit seinen Rastatter Teamkollegen Kevin Bold und Marc Weiler sowie Sebastian Schweizer aus Schwenningen mit 8:9 gegen Harsch, der wiederum mit 5:11 gegen Neuner das Nachsehen hatte, der dann gegen den späteren Sieger mit 5:6 seine einzige Niederlage einstecken musste. So hatten die drei Medaillengewinner jeweils vier Siege und je eine Niederlage auf ihrem Konto. Neben dem ehemaligen Sotschi-Olympiateilnehmer Felix Schulze aus Hamburg und Leon Hundertmark, ebenfalls aus der Hansestadt, war mit Manuel Walter, Georg Peter, Roger Huckle und Max Heling ein weiteres vollständiges Team aus Baden Hills am Start. Mit den Meisterschaftsneulingen an seiner Seite gab es für Walter nur gegen Harsch mit Jan-Luca Haag, Sixten Totzek und den Sutor Brüdern Magnus und Joshua aus Füssen eine etwas deftigere Niederlage, während die restlichen Spiele mit nur jeweils einem Stein verloren gingen, womit der sechste Rang heraussprang.
