Slack is a messaging service aimed to give you information instantly and professionally. If you have used Whatsapp then you will be familiar with the messaging process. Slack is slightly different and used by many businesses to communicate and engage the user in a more professional environment We will be using Slack to give you the very latest information from sales and marketing training tips to help you get the best from being an introducer, to industry updates that we feel would help you when with new clients. You will also have the ability to direct message your regional managers and engage with other IA’s on the programme.

1. You should have received an email from us inviting you to join up to our slack channel.

2. Once you have clicked the join now tab you can fill out your details and a password.

3. After clicking Next, you will be asked to confirm terms and conditions.

4. Ok, so you are now set-up with Slack

When you first join a workspace, Slack will notify you of directed at you. By default, here’s when you’ll receive notifications:

• You receive a direct message (DM)

• Someone replies to a thread you’re following

• Someone @mentions you or notifies a channel you’re in

• Someone uses one of your keywords

• You receive a reminder from Slackbot

These settings apply to both desktop and mobile notifications until you make changes.

By default, only @mentions, direct messages, and keywords will trigger a desktop notification. You can change this preference to include all messages sent to channels you're a member of, or nothing at all: If you have any problems with Slack then please contact your regional manager.
