Check in and check out one of the most unique accommodations that has preserved its traditional flair throughout the decades. Hanoks, traditional Korean houses, retain the original structure and design of family homes, and give off a warm and homely vibe amongst its wooden beams and rafters.

The juxtaposition of blending the past with the present is intriguing, as the position and influence of hanoks in Korean architecture still hold firm amidst modern high-rises and luxury apartments right in the centre of the commercial district.

1145-1430: Get moving at Songdo Central Park

Keeping the momentum as you walk the short distance from your accommodation to the one and only Songdo Central Park, which stretches across an area of over 100 acres with greenery and water. With a variety of activities available, the park sets itself apart as one of the nation’s best green spaces. It is host to a 1.8km seawater canal stretching from the east to the west.

We highly recommend you to navigate the area leisurely by renting a family boat, canoe, SUP (a rafting board you paddle standing up) or kayak available at the Songdo Komarine East Boat House to make your way through the waterways. An alternative would be to take the water taxi from the West Boat House for a picturesque view of the surrounding skyline. On water or by foot, the park provides a breath of fresh air right in the middle of the bustling city.

At first glance, it may seem like any other office building, but make sure to head upstairs to the Sky Garden open to visitors during the day, from which you’ll get to see Songdo fully from the high vantage point. If you’re keen to explore and tour around the area, you can even rent bicycles here.
