We are very pleased to be able to offer what we think is the largest collection of RAF covers we have ever seen. The facts are (I think) over 80 albums (82 I think) containing over 2,600 covers (2623 I think, but I have only counted them once). This was put together by one of our customers, but rather than just buy direct from us or Bill Randle, he would take unsigned covers along to RAF Open Days, signings and air shows and make his own unique signed varieties. I have been through the collection once and believe the retail is at least £17,500, but this could easily be in excess of £20,000. There are so many covers, I could have easily have missed some signatures (there are lots of multi-signed) plus some the wrong way round to show the back. In addition there are booklets, photographs and cards which I skipped over, which again could easily take you over 3,000 items. This was a truly lovely collection to go through and I would be breaking it down and listing lots (if we had nothing else in stock). Each cover has a signature of top Luftwaffe VIP’s. It took Hans over three years biography of the signatures printed on the cover, plus numerous to assemble back in the 1970’s. He personally visited all aces b/w photos inside. He originally stated that there are only 20 including great names like Willy Messerschmitt, Werner Von or so complete sets anywhere in the world. You can’t imagine Braun, Herman Obarth, Albert Speer, Erich Hartmann, Adolf how much time and effort went in to getting the photos that are Galland, Gerd Barkhorn plus many more. There is even a inside the covers, the travelling, overprinting of envelopes etc. cover signed by five members of Richthofen’s original flying Each can be identified by a number in a red circle on the circus. Many of the individual covers are now worth well over reverse, we list here what we have available at this point, but £200 with the Von Braun and Messerschmitt now worth £1500. there are still lots of gaps to fill and will keep trying. Other rare signatures include Rudel Batz, Hanna Reichi, Hans Bauhr (Hitler’s pilot), Matoni, Skorzaney, Kurt Tank.

He was awarded the Royal Humane Society Medal for saving the life of a boy from the River Witham. He completed a long distance flight from Gravesend to Cape Town; a 12,754-mile round trip in 4 days, 10 hours and 16 minutes, breaking the record for each leg and setting a solo record for the round trip. The 14 ring mechanism is quality nickel-plated easy to use and only available from Safe. The album lies perfectly flat and you can remove pages or covers easily. It has two heavy-duty sheet lifters. The luxury binder is padded and the matching slip-case again looks quality as indeed it is. The leaves are the best available and your first day covers look superb.
