  • Victoria Cross in België
Victoria Cross in België Het Victoria Cross is de hoogste Britse militaire onderscheiding.Het kruis kan worden toegekend voor "most conspicuous bravery, or some daring or pre-eminent act of valour or self-sacrifice, or extreme devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy" ,vrij vertaald door "zeer bijzondere dapperheid, of bijzondere daad van moed of opoffering of extreme plichtsbetrachting in de aanwezigheid van de vijand". Het motto is "For Valour" (Engels: Voor heldhaftigheid).
