CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED SINGER-SONGWRITER BRENT COBB FEATURED IN RAM TRUCKS’ ‘LONG LIVE THE STORYTELLERS’ VIDEO CONTENT SERIES Four - Part Series Debuts Today on Rolling Stone Country Culminating with Release of Cobb’s New Single and Music Video “Ain’t A Road Too Long” in September via Low Country Sound / Elektra Records Crowd Sourced Creative Video Campaign to Roll Out Later This Month in Support of “Long Live The Storytellers” Campaign Nashville, TN (August 14, 2017) - Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Brent Cobb is featured in “Long Live the Storytellers,” a new documentary-style video content series created by Ram Trucks. Spotlighting the hard work and determination of being a songwriter, the weekly series takes viewers on a journey into the art of creating a song through the lens of one of Nashville’s most impressive break out artists. With the first of three episodes debuting today on Rolling Stone Country, the four-part series culminates with a music video. Shot in Nashville and produced by Greg “Freddy” Camalier, it chronicles the process from creating Cobb’s new single “Ain’t A Road Too Long” (Low Country Sound / Elektra Records) to its September 15 release of both the song and music video. While getting to know Cobb through this intimate look into his musical process, “Long Live the Storytellers” also features songwriting insights from the perspective of lauded music producers, musicians and writers including Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb and songwriter/musician Dan Penn. Brent explains, “[Being a part of Ram’s ‘Long Live the Storytellers’] campaign is important to me because I've been writing songs my whole life. I was born into it. Professionally, I've been making a living at it for over a decade and any breaks I've had along the way have been because of the songs I've written." Adding, "It takes drive to stay on that road, figuratively as well as literally. The first truck I ever toured in was a Ram. We toured in it all over the country. A lot of artists before me had used the same truck, so by the time it got to us it had been rode hard. As hard as it had been rode, it still got us where we needed to go. Ram understands that drive." In addition to documenting the release of Cobb’s single “Ain’t A Road Too Long,” Ram also worked with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) to provide custom songs from the Nashville community that embody the spirit of the truck brand’s “Long Live” campaign. Each of the five songs has a unique sound and feel that authentically reflect the brand’s core values of integrity, courage, leadership and hard work. To bring these songs to life, Ram initiated a unique, creative crowd sourced campaign with G7 Entertainment Marketing, and on demand creative community platform, Talenthouse, to develop lyric videos for five UMPG songs as part of the “Long Live the Storytellers” campaign. These will debut in late August on RamTrucks.com/RamLife and the Ram YouTube channel. Ram Trucks’ collaboration with Brent Cobb for the “Long Live the Storytellers” campaign was created in partnership with Project Worldwide agencies G7 Entertainment Marketing and Motive Made Studios. It expands the brand’s “Long Live” marketing campaign launched earlier this year and is the brand’s latest partnership in the country music space. In recent years, Ram has established alignments with several of today’s top country music artists, including Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton and Easton Corbin.
